It’s gonna be a long night…

I’m going to have to apologise in advance, this is going to be one of the longer posts I do. There were 7 season finals and 2 of those were double episodes, but I’ll try and condense it as much as I can, as well give my opinions on them. Most of the finals were good, and I will admit, there was definitely some tears shed on my behalf but you’ll be able to tell which shows made me sob like a little baby. Here we go:

Game of Thrones E04
Oh sweet baby Jesus, I wept tears of joy! Have characters ever been happy on this show? No. Did we get a glimpse of happiness when Sansa makes it to Castle Black to meet Jon and they have the most beautiful reunion ever? YES! Episode 4 was a pretty happy episode actually not TOOO many deaths, a few happy moments and bad-ass Dany makes a comeback:

  • Castle Black: Sansa, Brienne and Pod make it to Castle Black and Jon and Sansa catch up on everything that’s happened to them since they parted ways in season 1. Sansa’s been raped, Jon’s been dead, it’s heavy stuff. Also – I’m totally shipping Brienne and Tormund, his attempt at sex eyes while eating a hunk of bread is so cring worthy, I was reminded of someone… me! At the end,  Jon gets a letter from Ramsay saying that he’ll kill Rick if he doesn’t bring Sansa back to him, and Sansa convinces Jon that it’s their fight now, they have to take back Winterfell with the Wildings and Stark Bannermen helping 🙂
  • The Eyrie: We get to see pathetic little Robin Arryn again and his step father Littlefinger as they plan to save his cousin Sansa by joining The Frey’s (yea, don’t do that, that’s never a good idea…) Also, every time I see Robin, I think of this hehe:Testing 1, 2, 3 got talk shit get hit
  • Meereen: Tyrion comes up with an arrangement with the Masters of the Yunkai, Astapor and Volantis tp abolist slavery over 7 years, where they will be compensated for their “losses” in exchange for cutting off their funds to the Sons of Harpy. Missandei and Grey Worm don’t agree with Tyrion, but hesitantly take his side when he’s trying to convince the freed slaves in Meereen. Tyrion’s a smart guy, trust him he knows what he’s doing.
  • King’s Landing: The High Sparrow and Margaery talk and he takes her to see Loras who’s compeltely defeated and wants to confess to everything to make it all stop. Meanwhile,Cersei finds out from Tommen that the High Sparrow intends to make Margaery do the Walk of Shame Shame Shame and so Cersei tells Olena Tyrell to use her army to stop the church and Marg’s walk. As much as I hate Cersei, I can’t wait to see her and old lady Tyrell just shout at some men and own them.
  • Iron Islands: Theon comes home to a furious sister and a dead father, but says that he wants her to rule the Iron Islands and will help her where he can (and maybe get her help to join Jon and kill Ramsay? Revenge!)
  • Winterfell: Ramsay kills Osha because he knows she was the one who helped Rickon escape from Theon. ‘Nuff said, he had no reason to keep her.
  • Dothraki Sea: Daario and Jorah exchange old jokes, infiltrate the Dothraki settlement with no weapons and find Dany in the Dosh Khaleen with the other widows. Dany is then taken to the council and she tells the she wants to rule the Dothraki to which they respond with telling her that they’ll treat her like a whore, and she responds with burning them all alive in the temple. Of course, she’s Daenerys Stormborn The Unburnt, and she emerges from the flames like she did in Season 1, naked but dragon-less, LIKE THE QUEEN SHE IS! When will the Dothraki learn???

Once Upon a Time E22 & 23 (Season Finale)
I have so many notes on these two episodes, I don’t know where to start so I’m going to try and give you the basics of the episode because I had a few issues with the story. We get to see the Land of Untold Stories and meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Henry removes all the magic from the world but then has to get everyone to start “believing” in magic again, Rumple is a dick and Regina is going through some serious stuff when she realises that she will never be able to escape the Evil Queen. Now, first, props to Lana Parrilla again for giving an awesome performance of Regina, you really feel the pain she goes through every time her love dies and she just cannot get away from what she has done. At the end of the episode, Snow uses a serum to separate Regina from her Evil Queen alter ego, and she destroys the Evil Queen… or does she????? Secondly – can the writers please decide if they want to make Henry an adult or a child?? It’s frustrating to see them take a boy to the UNDERWORLD and try to survive it, but then have him treated like a child the rest of the time. And I have a huuuuuuge issue with the scene involving Henry talking to a group of strangers in NYC asking them to believe in magic. No way in Gods green Earth would 50 something people throw coins into a fountain and “wish” for magic just because a teenage kid told them! If this was really New York, someone would call the cops and another person would ask Henry where he gets his drugs from. And lastly, the writers are just regurgitating what they’ve done in the last 5 seasons and there is zero character development going on in terms of trusting people! Not once has Rumple proven himself trustworthy, so why the HELL would you keep trusting him?! Hook, Regina and Zelena have all shown that they can grow, clearly this man cannot! ABC has gone through a scrub through of their shows and culled a few this month, I can only hope they realise that Once Upon a Time has reached its peak and is slowly declining and gracefully cancel the show next season.

Castle E22 (Series Finale)
So as I mentioned last week, ABC decided to cancel Castle last week and this week was the season final episode, and I was very aware that they’ll either leave it as a season end cliffhanger or end the series really badly. But you know what? They did it pretty well. The team hatch a plan to catch Loksat’s accountant using Caleb as bait, but when they find Caleb’s dead body, they realise that it was all a trap. Castle and Beckett are rescued just in time by Mason Wood, one of the detectives that Castle met in LA whilst on the Greatest Detective Society case, who is in touch with Castle’s step-mother. Anyway, the case continues, and Castle is caught, given a truth serum and interrogated by Loksat, who turns out to be Mason himself. He was involved in stuff with the CIA and needed to know who knew about him so gets Castle tell him everything. By the end of the episode, Beckett figures it all out and both her and Castle catch and arrest Mason, opening up an investigation into the CIA and their operations. All is going smoothly and everyone is safe, until a very much alive Caleb returns to their apartment and shoots them both, before being off-ed by Beckett. At this point, I’m going “no no no no you can’t kill them BOTH off!” and I reckon that if the series was to be continued, the episode would have ended on that cliffhanger. However, we got a lovely “7 years later” moment where we see a very happy Caskett enjoying breakfast with their 3 lovely children, all safe and sound. The. End. Thank you to Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, Molly Quinn, Tamala Jones, Seamus Driver, Jon Huertas and Susan Sullivan for giving the fans a funny, emotional and action packed series from start to finish and keeping us entertained for 8 solid years. You will be missed ❤castle fandom castle crew castillions caskett moments castle season 3

Quantico E22 (Season Finale)
I have a stackload of notes from this episode, but when I look back on it, it really wasn’t that complicated. In the flashbacks, everyone gets ready for graduation and Alex and Ryan break up because once again, Alex finds out that Ryan is lying about going to DC, he’s heading to Texas. Shelby still hates everyone and decides to ruin Caleb’s graduation by telling his mum what he’s been up to (which of course, is the wrong side of the story) and Miranda says goodbye to the twins but is unable to attend the ceremony. In the present, we get a 4 minute montage showing Liam sabotaging Alex from the minute he gets the job at Quantico, which I think was a really good way of showing what he’s done and how he’s done it.Meanwhile, he’s kidnapped Miranda and starts to lead the team to find her and the bomb. But the team is too smart for him, they discover discrepancies in his story and Miranda’s timeline doesn’t match up to when the Voice calls Alex and Shelby. Ryan goes after Liam but is kidnapped as well, and Alex discovers that Liam is the terrorist after meeting his daughter. They guess that because he’s trying to topple the FBI and the best way to do that is to bomb the graduation ceremony taking place, so they all get to Quantico. They find Ryan and a barely alive Miranda and Ryan, and Alex finds Liam and the bomb. He rants about how he hated the FBI for making him lie and cover up for people and how he was trying to get Alex to quit the FBI so he can frame her for being angry with the FBI and all that. Alex has NONE of it and goes in for the kill shot, shooting Liam, saving Ryan and finding the bomb as well. But what the hell are the team going to do with the bomb?! They can’t detonate it safely, nor can they evacuate the building, and while they’re arguing, Simon grabs the bomb, and drives off with it towards a body of water. He says his goodbyes to everyone explaining the guilt he felt for denotating the second bomb and designing this one, and at the last second, goes off a bridge and the bomb goes off safely in the water, saving everyone. Tears. Tears everywhere.sad crying how i met your mother robin cobie smulders

Now here’s the rubbin’. Remember that box of blood pressure pills that the Voice tells Alex to switch out from Claires handbag? Well turns out, Claire doesn’t have a blood pressure problem, which leads Alex to confront the now Vice President at Simon’s funeral. She says that with Liam destroying the FBI with Claire and blaming Alex, they would together rebuild the FBI with Liam leading. But after declaring Alex a hero, Liam goes off on his own feeling betrayed by his partner in crime. Claire asks for proof, Alex has none, but Caleb has just heard everything and Claire knows she has to look out. Any way, Miranda is the Deputy Director now and reinstates Shelby, but unfortunately Alex gets the boot, giving her the opportunity to go and spend time with Ryan and return to her mum in Oakland – but only for 2 months. She gets a surprise visit from Matthew Keyes in the CIA and is asked to join, but the offer only stands for a minute, then it’s gone. I was wondering how they would continue the story seeing as she’s not in Quantico anymore, but I guess Shonda Rhimes will think of something. That was a pretty good first season, let’s see how they continue the story in season 2!

NCIS E24 (Season Finale)
Nothing else matters in this episode except that:
1. Ziva dies.
2. There’s a little baby Tiva called Tali.
3. Tony leaves NCIS to be with his daughter.

Now that I’ve said that, can you imagine the tears that were flowing down my face the entire 40 minute episode?! First, we went through the pain of watching Tony deal with Ziva’s death. Then the head of the Moussad brings Ziva’s daughter, Tali, into NCIS and says that Tony is the father, but Ziva didn’t want to interrupt the life that he had here and was independent enough to look after her own daughter. And THEN, Tony realises that Tali knows exactly who he is and knows that for the rest of his life, all he wants to do is be with her and love her forever. And lastly, possibly the most beautiful scene was watching Gibbs and Tony part ways in Gibb’s basement, I’m tearing up just thinking about it now. Oh and just as a side note, they catch Trent Kort (killer of Ziva and just all round bad guy) and he tries to shoot his way out of an arrest, only to be shot multiple times my Tony, Gibbs, McGee, Bishop, FBI Agent Tess Monroe and MI6 agent Clayton Reeves – revenge is sweeeeeeeeet! It was a lovely season final, and I can’t wait to see how the team functions next season without Very Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo. Michael Weatherly, thank you for being such an amazing person and creating such a diverse and deep character for the last 13 years. Watching Tony DiNozzo develop over the last decade has been truely amazing and you deserve all the credit, the fans wish you all the best in the future ❤ncis tony dinozzo jsncisstuff tonyd dinozzo smile

Agents of SHIELD E21 & 22 (Season Finale)
God damn more tears! This was a double episode and really, it will take me about a day to type up everything that happened so I’ll try and condense. From Daisy’s intel the team finds the nuclear missile, disconnect the warhead but Hive manages to escape with it. However, Mack manages to create a device that kinda, scrabbles Hive’s mind, making the memories of his victims intermingle with his actual self, giving us a weakened and vulnerable evil alien. Daisy is still coming to terms with what she did while under Hive’s control and the only one who helps her is Mack, what a beautiful chocolate man. But what the team realise is that Daisy has told Hive everything, including the high altitude capabilities of the Zephyr so Hive plants a box in the base hanger, releasing Dr Radcliffe’s creation onto SHIELD agents, and converting them into the “primitives” or Hive’s minions. Anyway, the minions almost kill Fitz but the team doesn’t realise that Daisy has made her way back to the Zephyr and begs Hive to take her back because she can’t deal with the pain – WHAT ARE YOU DOING MATE?! Anyway, thanks to Lash, Daisy becomes impervious to Hive’s parasites and can’t be controlled so she tries to kill him but is stopped by James who rescues Hive, takes Daisy and gets the Zephyr going. The team has 31 mins to get the warhead to safety and a lot of complications happen so the main thing you need to know is everyone gets on the Zephyr but an injured Lincoln and Hive end up on the Quinjet with the war head, and Lincoln flies the Quinjet into space and the team watches it blow up safely, killing Lincoln and Hive but saving millions as well. Watching Daisy completely breakdown was so heartbreaking but at the end of the episode we see Coulson, no longer the Director of SHIELD, and Mack tracking her down but she evades them and runs away – but WHYYYYYY? And at the end we see Dr Radcliffe create an AI called Aida – is this going to be another Ultron type situation? Have we not learned from Stark’s mistakes????!!!

Legends of Tomorrow E16 (Season Finale)
Alrighty, so now that there is no Occulus or controlling Time Masters, Rip drops everyone back in Star City in May 2016 (Sara finds out about Laurel and oh my god, the tears). But the team just aren’t having it and manage to call back the Waverider and get a message from Kendra through time to come get her in France in 1944. They find her and trry to rescue her and Carter, but Savage takes her away and they figure out Savage’s plan. He wants to destroy time itself and return back to the first major change in history, back in 2000 BC when the first meteor hit Egypt. In order to do so, he needs to be with the meteor in three different times (1958, 1975 and 2021) and detonate all three at the same time. And thanks to time travel, he can now do this but mwahahahaha the team has the Waverider and stop him! And what Savage doesn’t realise is that while the meteors are “loading” so to speak, he becomes immortal, allow the team to kill him three times 🙂 One meteor can’t be destroyed, so Rip sacrificies himself to go dropit into the sun, but come on, he’s a Time Master, so he just time jumps after dropping it and all is well! Now that Savage is gone and the Time Masters can’t manipulate time, Rip asks the team to help him simply protect the timeline, which they all do, except Carter and Kendra who decide to go and be happy together. But just when things are going well, MIKE ROSS from Suits appears! Lol jokes, the actor, Patrick J Adams comes in as Rex Tyler,a member of the Justice Society of America, and he’s come to save our Legends. Now I assume you’re all thinking “Justice Society of America? Surely, that’s the Justice League of America, right?” And you are right. The Justice Society of America is the precursor to the famous superhero team up we know and Rex Tyler is Hourman, so looks like Season 2 is going to get a WHOLE lot bigger!!!!
happy excited scream jonah hill elated

The 100 E16 (Season Finale)
Season finale and all you really need to know is that they defeat Allie, everyone comes to their senses and they’re set up season 4 really well. Because Ontari is dying, Clarke hatches a genius plan to get Abby to give her a blood transfusion exchanging her blood for the Black blood, and then put the Flame in her so she can go into the City of Lights, kind Allie’s kill switch and shut her down. She gets some help from Lexa and Raven in the City, while Murphy, Abby, Bellamy, Pike, Octavia and the gang protect her body and make sure the blood is still flowing. In the end, she meets Becca and Allie but pulls the trigger on Allie but not before finding out that all the remaining nuclear plants on Earth have started to melt and the humans have only 6 months until Earth is uninhabitable. Poor old Clarke gets back to her body, sees half her friends beaten up and the other half crying, and looks and Bellamy and doesn’t even have good news to tell him. These guys cannot catch a break, I’d love to see how they get out of the next mess in season 4!
harry potter idk shrug confused dumbledore

Supernatural E22 (Witches, demons, angels, Rowena, Crowley, Lucifer, Cas, Sam, Dean and God all get together to defeat Amara, they fail, Lucifer dies, Sam has the Mark and God is almost dead. Shit.), The Flash E22 (Zoom uses Laurel Lance’s doppleganger, Black Siren, to keep Barry busy and the team finds a way to capture all the metahumans at once. But then Zoom does the unthinkable when he kills Henry in front of Barry to try and make him more like Zoom. HOLY SHIT I DIDN’T SEE THAT COMING, TEARS EVERYWHERE! But to be honest, I was secretly happy it wasn’t Joe, he’s been more of a father to Barry than Henry will ever be (not his fault though) and I think Barry would be worse off without Joe 😦 ), Bones E16 (Aubrey used to be in an acapella group and the Pentatonix make a guest appearance), Arrow E22 (Felicity, Curtis and Noah manage to get Rubicon offline, Oli and Diggle get into the Ark to find a drugged Thea, defeat Machin but not before he kills Ruve. Oli and Diggle manage to save everyone in the Ark before it collapses on itself but Darhk comes to Felicity’s house to seek revenge for his wifes death :/ )

Game of Thrones!

Alright, this week we say bye Scorpion and hello to Game of Thrones , which to me is a pretty good trade off because well, its Game of Thrones. Seriously, we’ve been waiting so long, I won’t keep you any longer!!!!

Game of Thrones S06 E01
We’re BAAAAAACK! And you know what? It was a great first episode to start the season. And you know what else? We got nice updates on each of the characters, and unlike other shows like Quantico that shift between the past and the present so fast, these guys spent 5-6 minutes on each character, and then left it. They didn’t overly complicate everything, though I can’t wait for more of the characters to start meeting up and grouping together. Seeing as it’s the first week, here are the basic updates:

  1. Jon is still dead 😦 😦 😦 Davos finds him, along with Jon’s friends and they take him to a room, deciding what do to. Alliser Thorne tells the rest of the Nights Watch that he was the one, amongst others, that killed Jon and I think Davos implies that although Jon has only a few supporters in the Watch, they can use the Wildling’s that he saved in the last season to help get their revenge. I can’t wait to see Thorne and Olly die, those backstabbing assholes.
  2. Ramsay Bolton finds his dead girlfriend, Miranda, and decides to feed her to the dogs (what a dick). Bolton Snr tells him to find Sansa and get an heir on her asap because without her, they won’t be able to gain power in the North.
  3. Reed and Sansa are running away from Bolton’s hounds when they are caught but then are miraculously rescued by Brienne and Podrick. They end up swearing their allegiance to each other and man, am I excited to see where this goes! There’s a moment in the episode where you see Sansa and Reed just hugging each other and you don’t get a feeling of love or passion, but simply a scared girl that is finally getting help from someone who she loved as a brother and knows will protect her. And you also see the original and genuine Theon Greyjoy come back, the one that remembers his relationship with the Stark’s and is done being Ramsay’s bitch. These four are going to get up to some badass shit and I cannot wait 🙂
happy sherlock excited martin freeman you go girl
  4. Jaime returns with a dead Myrcella back to Kings Landing and Cersei finds out that her beautiful and kind daughter is gone forever. As much as I hate Cersei, I really feel for her, Myrcella was the only innocent child on the entire show, not yet corrupted by the evil doings of the adults around her.
  5. Smirk-face Margaery is still in jail and the Church won’t let her see Loras until she confesses to her crimes.
  6. Prince Doran finds out about Myrcella’s death and Ellaria Sand stabs him, along with Captain Areo Hotah, saying that his people are no longer loyal to him and are disgusted with his ruling. On another ship, Trystan is murdered by two of the Sand Snakes (poor guy, the only reason he was killed was because he was the heir, but I really should get used to this by now.)
  7. Varys and Tyrion walk the streets of Meereen and realise that Daenarys has a fair few enemies and find out that all the boats in the port have been burnt in a fire, leaving them in Meereen with no transport out.
  8. Jorah Mormont and Daario Naharis are out on horseback trying to find Daeny and discover that she’s been taken by a a huuuuuuuge swarm of the Dothraki.
  9. The Dothraki have taken Daeny to Khal Moro and all the men are being sexist dicks, only to realise that Daeny speaks Dothraki and she OWNS them. He’s all about “Yea Imma have sex with and have a funky white haired baby”, and she’s all “Excuse me, I am the widow of Khal mother-effing Drogo, get yo’ filthy hands off me”, and he’s all like “Maaate, he was a bro, I can’t sleep with a Khal’s widow, let’s send you to Vaes Dothrak to live with the other widows in the Temple of Dosh Khaleen.” Daeny isn’t smiling anymore :/
    shit oh shit
  10. Arya is a blind beggar on the streets of Braavos and gets her butt kicked by The Waif (ie. the mean girl with the really bad bob-cut) and the Waif says she’ll be back tomorrow again. And this is where all the internet meme’s come in about a Game of Thrones/Daredevil crossover, maybe Arya will be the vigilante of Westeros?
  11. Back at The Wall, Thorne gives Davos the rest of the night to surrender and leave Jon’s body, but Davos wants to use the Red Woman, Melisandre to bring him back to life. Maybe. I hope? Anyway, the episode ends with Melisandre, all sad about Stannis Baratheons’ death, strips down for bed, take off her cool red stone necklace and transform into a really, really old woman, what. I would like to thank Twitter, Tumblr and Buzzfeed for these nuggets of pure gold:

Once Upon a Time E19
Ok, so firstly, I get that this is family show, and good always wins and evil can always be defeated or changed but I was very much against what happened at the end of the episode. In the flash backs, we learn that Regina hurt herself playing with Cora’s magic wand and the only way to save her was to go to Oz, find Zelena and ask her to save Regina. The girls get on like a house on fire, and realise that they’re sisters, but Cora stops them and removes their memories of the events, meaning that they always think they’re alone in the world. Back in present Underbrooke, Regina is trying to convince Zelena not to fall in love with Hades, who believes that she can change him. The God of Death. The Ruler of the Underworld. Good luck hun. Anyway, Regina finds Cora and asks her to help Zelena, and the only way to do that is to give her a forgetful potion and make her forget about Hades. Zelena, though, is a smart girl and realises what is happening, but Cora, who believes that her unfinished business is reuniting her daughters, realises her mistakes and reveals the sisters pasts to them. Now at the end of the episode, Cora goes to the place where everyone “moves on” and the sisters watch their mother… go to Heaven! I’m sorry what?! This woman destroyed lives, killed people and kept her daughters apart and yet just because she did one good deed in her life, she gets forgiven and is send to Heaven? No, I don’t agree with that at all. But props to Lana Parrilla and Rebecca Mader for giving amazing performances. In other news, James (Charming’s evil twin brother) and Cruella try to steal little baby Robin-Zelena only to be stopped by Charming who defeats his brother and accidentally throws him into the River of Lost Souls. Oh and at the end of the episode, Rumple gets the help of his dear father, Peter Pan, and kidnaps Zelena for giving Belle the idea of a sleeping spell. I’m very interested to see how they’re going to solve everything in the last 4 episodes.

Scorpion E24 (Season Finale)
Thank the lord, this is my last review for this show. I know, the show is still getting more than 8 million viewers every week, but for me, it just wasn’t going anywhere. Toby is just annoying, Happy is just angry all the time, Walter is such a dick and Paige loves him even though he can be so rude. We get it, they’re all geniuses and have low EP’s but low EP doesn’t mean you have to be a rude narcissistic a-hole. Anyway, this week, Toby was kidnapped by their crazy ex-team mate, Mark. Happy saves him, he proposes and she says no because she says she’s already married… uhm ok. I don’t even want to know. Meanwhile, Tim and Paige go off for a weekend away and Toby shouts at Walter till he realises that he loves her and needs to stop her. And that’s it, this is where my Scorpion journey ends, good luck to all those still going, may the odds be ever in your favour.

Quantico E19
We’ll start off with the present day: Alex is trying to sober up Caleb (who’s still talking to someone on the phone) and when she comes into work, she sees Shelby working with Miranda to help update the FBI’s OS. Alex is suspicious and tells Miranda that Shelby’s parents are still alive to get the update to stop and talk to Shelby. Shelby is absolutely brutal while talking to Alex, but tells her in Morse Code that she’s on her side and will talk to her later. Turns out Shelby was being blackmailed to help the terrorist (of course we knew that, she’s a good guy!) and realised that if she can get a program in the update to determine who in the FBI is making all the calls, maybe she can get them. We also find out that Shelby’s parents have died, she’s the one Caleb has been talking to and Miranda is not on Alex’s side anymore. Ryan and Nimah also find out that Alex was the last one to see Natalie Vasquez alive and are out to get her. By the end of the episode, the Voice calls Shelby and they locate the call to a church, only to find Will dying, saying that he had to help build “him” a nuke. Shit! Well at least Alex has another friend and Caleb is getting better 🙂
Back at the training centre, Drew has he shakes and Alex knows, Will is missing in the hospital, Caleb has gone on a “family holiday” and Shelby is furious at Liam for covering this all up. In retaliation, on their Career’s Day, she gets the help of an FBI agent investigating Sistemics, and buys her way into a meeting with the leader, only to get blocked by Caleb. He’s there for a meeting (which he’s organised with his dad off-the-books) with a recording device so that he can get a confession from the leader and he learns that his friend has died. They end up getting a confession, but he exchanges a sentence to give the FBI information on Sistemics, to shut it down, much to the disappointment of Caleb who is still a traitor in Shelby’s eyes and gets none of the credit or justice he wants. The twins, meanwhile, meet their future handler and don’t get along with him, and Alex reveals Drews shakes to Liam and Ryan after he jeopardises their challenge and they almost die. 3 more episodes to go, anyone else contemplating whether they’ll actually reveal who the terrorist is at the end of the season?
idk shrug elmo i dont know television

New Girl E17 & E18
It’s been a while since New Girl really made me laugh, but this week was good! And I’m glad they did it as a double episode, because it really went well. In episode 17, the guys go on a bachelor party roadtrip to Vegas only to get sidetracked and start a fight at a desert bar. Schmidt is scared he won’t be a husband that can protect Cece and Nick has to get in touch with his emotions and tell him that he’s been protecting Nick for years. At the end of the episode, they leave the bar to head back home because Jess tells Winston that Aly is single and he’s going to ask her out. In episode 18, we learn that while the boys are away, Jess and Cece get high in their apartment, smash a breadmaker, try to steal a new one from the store where they meet Aly and Tripp (who fight) and then get arrested. Cece is worried she won’t be able to care for Schmidt and Jess reminds her that she’s been taking care of Jess for years and then proves it as she helps the tree ladies escape Mall Prison. they head back to the apartment where Winston confesses to Aly only to find out that she hadn’t broken up with Tripp, but just had a fight – but she realises how much he loves her and kisses him! The end of the episode is so random I can’t even describe it, but they realise that Winston is married to Rhonda and Aly is technically still with Tripp – awkward :/

Castle E19
Seriously, can I please have my very own Rick Castle? This episode was a good one, we have a victim that is poisoned, electrocuted and shot at point blank range but doesn’t actually die and Castles wild theories that he’s immortal and then a superhero with a strange origin story. Anyway, the interesting part is when we find out that Caleb Brown, a known associate of Loksat, is back in town, Beckett investigates and the episode ends with him at their apartment. He tells them that after Senator Bracken was killed, Loksat just sent him a phone and said that he worked for him now and every two weeks, he gets a phone call telling him his next project. He hands Beckett the phone, telling her to use it to track down Loksat and end this all – and she has that look in her eyes, she’s gonna do it. Go Caskett, go!

Agents of SHIELD E18
Seeing as this post is already getting a little long, lets do a quick summary: Hive and Daisy infect Alisha (the Inhuman that works with SHIELD) and then go to Aussie James’ place to give him a chance to become a real Inhuman in exchange for the other half of the Kree artifact – now Hive has the entire artifact and it’s the only thing in the world that can destroy him, good luck to SHIELD getting that. FitzSimmons and Mack try to track down a scientist, Holden Radcliffe, that can help them find a way to get rid of the Hive parasite from Daisy and FitzSimmons FINALLY do the nasty 😉 Also, General Talbot and the ATCU finally destroy all the remains of Hydra thanks to the intel from Malick. At the end of the episode, we learn that Hive wants to recreate the Kree experiments created the Inhumans and has bought an entire town for Radcliffe to populate. Lovely. This is going splendidly.

Arrow E19
television reaction community emotions my emotionsSo many feels as we see the team and Captain Lance deal with Laurels death. Diggle, Oli and Felicity all take turns with taking the blame for Laurel’s death while they try and catch another girl that is using Black Canary’s sonic device to hurt people that were involved with her parents deaths with Hive. And maaaan, do you feel for Captain and Diane Lance – one daughter dead, then brought back to life and has disappeared, the other dead and lost forever. It takes a visit from Nisa and a talk with Oli for them to convince Lance that there is no way to bring back Laurel and the heartbreak is real. Paul Blackthorne has given an amazing performance, no father should have to go through what he has 😦

Legends of Tomorrow E13
The team head to London 2166, three days before Rip’s family is killed, to find Savage and kill him before the timeline where the team members past selves starts becoming cemented into the truth. Kendra sees a bracelet that was there on the nigh that she first died on Savage’s daughters hand, so they kidnap her and steal the bracelet – it’s the only way Savage can be killed. Basically, to shorten it up, Ray becomes a giant and fights a huge robot called Leviathan, with Jack’s help while Rip, Snart, Rory, Sara and Kendra take on Savage and try to kill. They almost succeed as well, until Kendra sees that Savage has a version of Carter with him with his memory wiped, and she doesn’t kill him, hoping he’d free Carter from his mind. It wasn’t super complicated but it was a good episode, keeping the story in a direction I’m most eager to see.

NCIS: LA E23The Big Bang Theory E22Supernatural E19Bones E13 (there’s a crazy puppeteer-ing serial killer), The Flash (Barry has no powers and is up against another Meta and Caitlin meets Killer Frost in Zoom’s lair), The 100 E13 (Kane is tortured and fed the chip in order to save Abby and tell Allie where Clarke is, and Clarke, Bellamy, Jasper and Octavia find Luna – on an abandoned oil rig in the middle of the ocean :O)

The Biggest Plot Twists EVERRRRRR

My friends! Time for your weekly news flash, brought to you by M&M’s and Mi Goreng, the life support of twenty-somethings everywhere. Last week, we saw the return of ABC’s Quantico and Once Upon a Time, as well as plot twists and revelations from shows such as Castle and How to Get Away with Murder. Many shows are still on their short March hiatus however, please look forward to the season return of Marvel’s Daredevil, with all 13 episodes of Season 2 premiering on Netflix on March 18th. Stay tuned for next week’s blog, where I see if I’m still alive after binge watching one of the best shows on television. Now for some friendly weekly updates about our beloved TV shows:

Once Upon a Time E12
Just when you think “maybe they won’t spend half a season in the Underworld, maybe they’ll find Hook in one episode and leave”, the writers decide to mess us up and make sure that we’ll be in the Underworld for as long as humanely possible. We start up with the A team (Snow, Charming, Henry, Emma, Rumple,  Regina and Robin) all heading to the Underworld (a red-tinted, destroyed version of Storeybrooke) in order to get Hook and keep him alive. My first issue – why in Gods green Earth did they take Henry with them? He’s a CHILD, and they’re going to the UNDERWORLD. Worst grandparents and parents award goes to the Charming family, taking their children one step away from HELL.
what idk ron weasley Anyway, the A Team run into all their old enemies – Cora, Cruella, Peter Pan, the evil witch from Hansel and Gretel and James (Charming’s brother) who all have “unfinished business” – and Rumple gets given a potion to use to find Hook, but of course it doesn’t work. However, the main focus of the episode is on Regina and her change from villain to hero. Her father has unfinished business in the Underworld and Cora uses him to force Regina out of the Underworld or she’ll send him to Hell. Regina refuses to leave the Underworld without helping her friends find Hook, and this is when her father sees her being a good hero and his “unfinished business” us fulfilled: he sees his daughter become the good hero that he believed she could be, and he goes up to Heaven. The Regina feels in this episode are strong, and you just can’t help but love the way Lana Parilla portrays the Evil Queens/ Regina the Hero. The flashbacks were kind of boring, so I haven’t mentioned them, but give the episode a go if you want to know all the details! PS. the show has been renewed for Season 6, so the writers better get cracking onto another season, hopefully not as repetitive as the last few!

Quantico E12
I need to remember that this spot is about the show and not about Priyanka Chopra in anyway, so stop me if I start on a rant about how amazing she is, blah blah blah. So back on Quantico, it’s been three months since the second bomb went off at the FBI Command Centre, 32 agents are killed including Clayton Haas, and the team have spent the entire time trying to determine if Elias Harper was working on his own or was just a pawn for a terrorist organisation. The team are going through a hearing where each member of the team is required to give their opinion on what they think, and apart from Alex’s, they all say that they have no evidence to suggest that he wasn’t acting alone. Now what confused me, and maybe it’s just because it was a Monday night and my brain was a little tired from work, was that the entire episode, everyone is telling Alex that she is wrong and Harper was working alone but when she retracts her statement at the end, her entire team is all pissy at her! I totally understood her reaction when she is shocked that everyone is mad at her when she listens to them, she did what they said! I think that even though they couldn’t find evidence for Harpers’ claim, in the inside they all believed her? I don’t know, all I know now is that she’s back to being an agent, everyone still hates her, and oh yea, the terrorist group brings her to a abandoned car park and Vasquez walks in, her chest strapped to a bomb. Yep, that happened.community shocked donald glover puppet jaw dropNot really much in the flashbacks except I guess the budget for the show got a little more room now that they’ve removed Harper and Clayton from the cast, we have three new main NATs. Miranda and Liam make our class of NATs plus the class above compete against each other and we’re introduced to Will Olsen (a rocket scientist), Drew Perales (former NFL player) and Iris Chang (an evil looking lawyer). These three plus the rest of their class join our guys to make huge class with competing egos and all that jazz. Meanwhile, Nimah manages to get through to Charlie and get information about his kidnappers, but keeps it a secret from Raina and Miranda, getting on social media and finding out more about the men … very suspicious indeed.

Castle E14
Oh we’re getting somewhere! Ok so after Castle realises that he visited Korea Town in LA in his missing 3 months, he travels there with Hayley and Alexis but gets caught up in a serial killer case involving the Greatest Detective Society. There’s a little Firefly reunion with Summer Glau guest starring as a fellow PI competing for a spot in the GDS against Castle (if you haven’t seen Firely, do it! It got cancelled after 1 season and a movie, but to this day, has a huge cult following and is one of the most inventive shows there ever was). Anyway, as usual, they solve the case with the help of Espo, Ryan and Laney, and the rest of the episode was left up to Castle’s mystery 3 months.

So the trio go to the restaurant that Castle remembers where they find out that 3 months ago, Castle couldn’t pay for his dinner, so he gave the owner his watch, which present-Castle buys back. Turns out there is a tracker in the watch, and leads back to a marine who lives in LA but is currently away. Then suddenly, Hayley is acting all suspicious and convinces Alexis to let the tracker and the marine go, saying it’s safer for Castle not to know anything. At this point, i’m very concerned – do we know anything about this lady? How has she stayed after all this time and why is she always helping Castle and Alexis? It looks very suspicious! Anyway, Alexis has her father’s curiousity and goes to the marine’s mothers house – and finds a picture of the marine and Hayley together! WTF, jaw dropped. Alexis pretty much bolts from the house into her car, terrified, and sees Hayley sitting in the backseat – aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh! Anyway, Hayley and Alexis get back to the hotel and Hayley explains to Castle that the reason she knows the marine is that his father asked her to keep an eye on him, making her promise never to tell Castle anything. She got the tracker from a friend and was watching Castle until he gave the watch to the restaurant owner and disappeared. Castle, of course, just cannot let a sleeping cat lie (and this case, I don’t think I could either), so Hayley shows him a video he took 18 months ago that reveals that what he found out after working with the CIA has to do with Loksat, and the reason he has his memory erased was to protect Kate from whatever he found out. Holy shitballs! I’m so happy that the writers are getting somewhere with this, didn’t I just say last week, that maybe Castle’s disappearance and Kate’s hunt for Loksat are linked? I’m a genius!

Agents of SHIELD E11
And we’re back! This week, the team is in Bogota where they discover an Inhuman that has some amazing yoyo-movement type abilities and another evil one that has magic eyes that can paralyse a person. Thumbs up to the writers for coming up with some seriously inventive Inhumans, very very cool! Anyway, it was mainly just a filler episode with heaps of tidbits that just show what the characters have been going through in the hiatus: Fitz and Simmons are not so good, but start to patch things up towards the end, Lincoln and Daisy are “Druuuunk in luuuuuuurve”, Fitz makes Coulson a realistic looking hand, and the President decides to chose General Talbot  as the next heard of the ATCU, working under the direct orders of SHIELD, even though SHIELD doesn’t exist. If you don’t remember (because I didnt :/), he’s an Air Force General that Coulson has had interactions with involving the War on Hydra and  determining if the current actions of SHIELD are affect by Hydra as well. This is General Talbot ˅˅˅˅˅˅

Two other big things that happened in the episode are that Coulson decides to use his memory retrieving machine on Werner von Strucker to find out Mallick’s current location. Coulson manages to do so, and has a interesting conversation with Mallick, threatening him for killing Rosalind and forcing him to shut down some of his facilities. Also, we see Agent Ward, though he’s not really Ward anymore, but a corpse being run by that weird Inhuman parasite thingy from that other world. He’s been sitting in one of Mallick’s facilities, watching TV, barely saying anything and eating meat – I’m very interested to see what happens to that thing now, especially since Coulson and the team think that it’s dead in another world and not on Earth :/

How to Get Away with Murder E14
Ok, I’m going to get it out there now, I cried way too much in this episode because we were shown the entire backstory of Annalise and her lost baby. Basically, before Wallace Mahoney leaves her apartment after threatening to fire her because of Rose’s death, Annalise confronts him about taking advantage of Rose for years, and the reason she fears for her life and Christophe’s is because Wallace Mahoney is Christophe’s father – HOLY SHIT WHAT?!
That was the most unexpected twist in the history of twists that I have seen, I was losing my mind! Anyway, after this, Annalise decides to go tell the prosecutor what has happened and face getting disbarred but is met with a car crash on the way there, losing her little baby boy in the process. After seeing Sam get there, and Annalise holding her dead baby, you just can’t deal. Viola Davis gets a special mention again for making a characters pain so real, I can’t even imagine what women go through when they lose a baby, especially when they are so close to having that baby safe and alive in their arms. Anyway, back in the present time, Annalise manages to escape Philips assault, Caleb has gone missing and everyone is freaking out when the ADA wants to questions all of them. Annalise finally has enough and kicks everyone out of her house, they all go put partying (Asher and Michaela do the nasty in the bathroom) and she decides to tell Wes everything about his mother and how she feels responsible for him and her death. He, of course, doesn’t believe her, but of course he is curious and starts researching his biological father. Meanwhile, Laurel comes home and drunkenly tells Annalise that she knows Frank killed Layla on Annalise’s order – which of course isn’t true, because it was Sam. Anyway, questions are getting answered and things are coming to a close but I reckon that Shonda Rhimes is going to throw is one more curve ball before the season ends next week!

Legends of Tomorrow E08
The team is transported to a racist, small town in 1958 and find Savage acting as a psychiatrist in a hospital, administering meteorite juices to teenagers to create a hawk-like army. Ray and Kendra disguise themselves as a interracial married couple who live across the road from Dr. and Mrs. Savage, Jacks tries to get information from a girl who’s boyfriend has gone missing, Rip and Snart are FBI agents investigating mysterious killings and Stein and Sara moonlight as a doctor and his nurse. As Dad and I are watching the episode, a nurse in the hospital looks at Sara with a knowing look and I just blurt out “Lesbian.”. Dad has a good chuckle and doesn’t believe me till about 10 minutes later when i was totally right! I thought the episode was a good one, and transports the characters and the audience to a time in the world where being black, female or gay was openly mocked or threatened upon. A bit of harsh reality but also a nice way to show everyone how far we’ve come since 1958. Of course, the team are unable to kill Savage (we wouldn’t really have a show without Savage, would we?) and whilst leaving, bloody Kronos, who refuses to just die, comes back, attacking the Waverider, forcing Rip to leave, leaving Ray, Kendra and Sara behind – Oh wow, this is going to be fun. A white male, coloured female and a white lesbian are left in 1958 to fend for themselves, this is going to be interesting!

New Girl E10 (Jess is back and Reagan leaves), The Big Bang Theory E18 (Sheldon has a lovely streak of kindness), The 100 (Pike sentences Kane for trying to kidnap him to give to the Grounders, Raven realises that whatever crystal she had taken has erased all her memories of her dead boyfriend, Finn, and Bellamy may have come around to his senses).

Holy moly, guacamole!

I’m kinda liking this whole “let’s not have all the shows on at once thing” because my life is so much easier – but now I have no legitimate reason for not socialising, though needing to go home and watch TV wasn’t a legitimate reason in the first place either ha 😉 Just giving an update, Quantico and Once Upon a Time are back next week, Suits and Agent Carter have finished their seasons and our DC favourite’s are still on a hiatus so things are calm and manageable. Let’s do this!

Agent Carter E10 – Season Finale
THEY DID THE KISSY KISSY!
giphy (1)   giphyHahaha sorry I just got very excited at the end of the episode because Sousa and Peggy finally do the nasty (well I assume they did the do) – But we’ll get to that later. The episode starts with the the team investigating the explosion to find Masters gone, Wilkes weak, alive and without Zero Matter, and Whitney, alive and soaking up all the Zero Matter she can get her hands on. Whitney then goes insane in her house, muttering to herself and writing formulas, and generally acting like a psycho scientist – which makes her mafia boyfriend come to Stark and the team and ask for their help in removing the Zero Matter from Whitney. Peggy and Sousa manage to get into her evil lair with his help and discover that she is trying to create a device that will open the rift and take her into it – so the team design the device in order to lure Whitney to it and use the gamma/xray cannon to expel the Zero Matter from her and back into the rift. This all goes to plan, until the rift can’t be closed and is unstable, leaving Sousa to risk his life to close it, with the help of his trusty team. In the end, they manage to close the rift using Stark’s hovercar (God damn, it’s a cool car!) and leaving Whitney in a mental hospital, muttering to herself  and generally being a crazy person.

Meanwhile, Jack discovers that the Council pin that Masters has is actually a key for something, gives it to Peggy and proceeds to get ready to leave LA. Meanwhile, Peggy is kissing Sousa and takes more leave to be with him longer (oh yeaaaaaaa 😉 ) and the episode ends with Jack Thompson being shot in the chest by a mystery person, who comes into his hotel room and steals Peggy’s file.giphy (2)OMG WHAAAT?! They can’t do this to us at the end of the season! Those bastards. Anyway, this was a fantastic season for the Marvel TV show, and I can’t wait to see it return in January 2017!

Suits E16 – Season Finale
Well, that was an interesting turn of events. Mike decides he doesn’t believe in himself and breaks his promise to Rachel and takes a deal for 2 years of imprisonment rather than wait for the juries verdict. Harvey finds out that they jury was actually going to find him not guilty, meaning that Mike majorly screwed up! Basically, in the three days before he has to leave for prison, him and Rachel are in a bouncy castle of emotions, finally deciding to get married before he’s locked away, possibly jeopardizing her career as a lawyer and ruining his relationship with his future in-laws. In the end, Mike comes to Rachel in the church before getting married and says that he can’t go through with it, and they should wait till they get out (possibly the first smart decision Mike has made in a looong time). Also, thanks to Louis effing up (again), Donna, Jessica and Louis return to the office after the cancelled wedding to find that all the employees have left for other firms and taken their clients with them, thanks to a nullified Non-Compete. The two things I thought were interesting to note were:
1. There was a scene between Mike and Harvey towards the end of the episode which was absolutely spectacular! Both actors gave their characters such depth of emotion and the chemistry between them was fantastic – one of those scenes that really sticks with you for a while.
2. how are they going to continue with the story next season? Will they pick up during the two year prison sentence and focus on the firm or will they start up after two years when Mike is out?

Castle E13
This was a pretty normal week and there isn’t really much to say about the case, but the reason I haven’t put this at the bottom as just a mention, is that Castle has a flashback/ memory recovery thing where he remembers part of the time when he disappeared. If you don’t remember, at the end of Season 6, Castle is abducted while on his way to his wedding, only to appear 3 months later (beginning of Season 7) with no memory of time away. Come back to the present time and Castle has a taste of a traditional Korean dish and the taste reawakens a memory of him walking down the streets of a town, clearly in Korea. But in a scene not long after, he wakes up in his sleep, realising that he wasn’t in Korea, but in Little Korea in LA! Ahhhhhhh what is happening?! It’s very rare for writers to keep something like this going for more than a season, so I can only assume it has something to do with Loksat and figuring out both cases will solve both of their problems. Maybe that’s when the show will end???? Who knows!giphy (2)

The 100 E07
Whey hey heyyyyy, just when I thought the episodes were getting boring, they drop this one on me. This one focuses entirely on Clarke, Lexa, Titus and John but we also get some backstory into Beca and ALIE. First let’s get to the backstory – Beca (the same actor plays both ALIE and Beca) is the owner of the 13th station that is supposed to join the Ark 97 years ago. However, she’s working on AI technology meant to assist the humans in surviving in outer space for the next 200 years. Unfortunately, her AI, ALIE, enters the grid and is the one that causes nuclear missiles from China to attack USA, thus causing the destruction of the world. The rest of the stations refuse to dock with Polaris and threaten to blow it up if she doesn’t stop working on her project, but Beca continues, creating ALIE-2,  an AI that is to coexist with humans, with her code in a crystal matrix (it looks like the pill that Jaha has been giving people). Anyway, Beca manages to escape and return to Earth using an escape pod and saving ALIE-2, whilst wearing a jumpsuit with “Commander” written on it, while the 13th section of the ark is blown up above her.
giphy (2)Fast forward 97 years, and Lexa decrees that a blockade be formed around Arkadia and a kill order is sent out to anyone from Arkadia that crosses the blockade. Clarke decides to leave with Octavia and Indra in order to warn Pike and Kane about the kill order but not before she does the do with Lexa. At this point, I’m so sick of both of them dancing around each other, I’m happy they finally have sex and Clarke is leaving and they can just not be around each other. BUUUUUUT enter Titus, who’s decided he can’t take Clarke anymore and is going to shoot her, using a gun but leaving John there so that it looks like he did it. BUUUUUUUUT – he accidentally shoots Lexa instead – HOLY SHITBALLS WHAT?!giphy (2) The next 10 minutes are Clarke sobbing and trying to stop her bleeding, but Titus accepting that she is dying and getting ready to pass on the role of Commander to the next lucky person. Once Lexa is dead, he turns her over and at the nape of her neck is a scar and the infinity sign (the one on the pills) is tattooed on her. He opens up the scar and removes the crystal matrix which has ALIE-2 and places it in a box! The only thing I can gather from this is that Beca is called the Commander and had ALIE-2 placed inside her, and every time a Commander is killed, their “spirit” aka, ALIE-2, is transferred to the next. Also, is this the upgrade that Jaha’s ALIE needs?! Ah too many questions and not enough answers!

How to Get Away with Murder E13
Finally some answers! Looking at the flashbacks, we see that Rose gets arrested regarding her immigration status and Eve (Annalise’s old girlfriend) is her lawyer. She convinces Rose that she and Christophe will be safe if Rose still testifies. Anyway, as any normal person would do, Rose rushes home, puts Christophe and all her belongings in her car and runs away to start life anew. Christophe has a hissyfit and jumps out of the car and runs home to find his mother with a knife in her neck, gurgling and dying at his feet. You’re thinking “Yes, Wes didn’t kill his mum!”. Couple of scenes later we see Annalise running away from the apartment with a dying Rose on the floor with a knife in her neck. Now you’re thinking, SHIT ANNALISE KILLED ROSE! Couple of scenes later, you see Annalise coming to the apartment to find a hysterical Rose who’s looking for her son and realises that she has no way out of this case and can’t get away from the family. In a burst of emotion, she grabs a kitchen knife, tells Annalise to look after her son, and stabs herself in the neck!giphy (2)Annalise is shocked (as you would be), but doesn’t call 911. She hides away when she sees Christophe and then runs away from the scene now knowing what to do. And for a moment, you think, Yes Annalise is SAFE! But then you realise that it’s only her word keeping her innocent, and that may not be enough.

Come back to the present, and Annalise takes the laptop and the videos to Emily Sinclair’s boss, saying that she has evidence that Philip is back in town and the ADA can get him for her murder, provided that her and her associates have immunity for anything that is seen in the videos. The ADA is sneaky, and tries to pull some backhanded shit on Annalise, but she’s too good for them. Meanwhile, Wes is talking to his psychiatrist about his mothers death, and finds the file saying he is the primary suspect, making him question everything he remembers from that night. Laurel tries to convince Annalise to talk to Wes, and also breaks up with Frank with Bonnie eavesdropping on them (Why??). Connor, Olli, Laurel and Michaela sleep at Asher’s house because they know he’s stalking them, and Annalise is with Nate. The episode ends with Annalise coming to Wes’ apartment to talk to him, and knows someone is in the room – but she’s gets a phone call from Eve saying that Wes is with her, and at that moment, Philip Jesup appears and attacks Annalise. SHIT now I have to wait an entire week to find out what the hell is going on! Of course Annalise will survive, but who knows what Philip will do!

Legends of Tomorrow E07
We finally found out more about Rip’s family! Turns out both he and his wife were in the Time Master academy (if that’s what you call it?) but because affairs of love are forbidden, Rip’s wife pulls out from the academy so he can continue and they can continue being together – aw cuuuuute! Back in the present and Gideon needs to be upgraded so that they can continue to track Savage, so Rip, Rory, Jacks and Stein go aboard Akeron, another ship, to get the upgrades, only to discover it’s been hijacked by time pirates. The pirates attack Waverider, and while damaging the hull, Sara and Snart get locked in a freezing hull (am I the only one that wants them to get together?), leaving Kendra and Palmer to brace Deeps Space and fix the breach. Of course everyone is fine at the end, Kendra and Palmer kiss, but Rory’s evil actions over the last few situations leads the team to contemplate his part in the Good Guys team – which leaves Snart in the position to “deal with him”. Which means “I’m gonna take him into a random field in a random time and use my freeze gun to freeze him” – SHIIIIET!giphy (2)Now, whether he’s dead or not, we don’t know, but based on what we learn about his relationship with Snart, this was not an easy decision and is going to haunt him for a long time after 😦

Ones that weren’t mentioned because they were meh: New Girl E09 (Nick and Reagan kiss!), NCIS E17, Scorpion E18, NCIS: LA E17 (seemed like a disjointed episode from the season involving Sam’s ex-lover, Jada and the discovery of another mole in NCIS).

7 Years Later…

Hola amigos! This was another quiet-ish week, I’m finding that different channels are taking different breaks all over the place, which makes my life easier, because I don’t have a bazillion shows to watch every week. In terms of updates – Fox has announced that the next season of Bones (season 12) will be the last season and we will be saying goodbye to the amazing chemistry that is Booth and Brennan and all the team at the Jeffersonian. As sad as I am that they’re ending it, I think their time has come and all the characters are at stages of their lives that the writers can end the show well. On another note, if you live in Australia, I highly recommend watching the new show on Channel 9 called Here Come the Habibs (if you’re not in Australia, I’m sure you’re smart enough to find a way 😉 ) After three episodes, I think this is an absolutely hilarious, tears-rolling-down-my-cheeks, falling-off-the-couch show. Some people are saying that it’s racist, rude and stereotypical, but you know what? It really doesn’t matter because that’s the point of the show, just take it as it is and have a good laugh!

NCIS: LA E16
WE FINALLY FIND OUT CALLEN’S NAME!jennifer lawrence excited omg

And it was well worth the wait 😀 Carrying on from the last episode, Sam, Anna and G go to Russia and go and rescue Arkady Kolcheck and a CIA operative from a jail under a strict time schedule to avoid causing an international incident. Things don’t go exactly to plan but they end up at a CIA safe house being run by an old man called Garrison – and the minute you look at him, you know that something is up with him. He’s way to comfortable with the crew and looks at G like he knows him – ding ding ding, that’s his father! Just before they are to leave Russia with everyone in tow and alive, G and Garrison have a few minutes to themselves to discuss their relationship, and Garrison tells him he knows all about his son and is proud that he is a good man. He also calls G Grisha (which is the equivalent of Gregory in Russian) and tells him that his name is Grisha Alexandrovich Nikolaev and with the hope that they will meet again and learn more about each other. A few other things happen in the episode, but to be honest, I couldn’t give a damn because, as the title suggests, I waited way too long for this moment to happen 🙂

Castle E12
This episode totally freaked me out but intrigued me at the same time. As a science student that studied psychology courses at uni, it was an interesting case that involved parents that tested their twin children with various techniques to study separation anxiety – making their daughter kill herself and the son withdrawn and mentally unstable. Anyway, the case was interesting and Castle and Beckett were thrown into the deep end with a range of scenarios and different people to deal with and we saw again, how mature and responsible Alexis can be in times where her Dad is in trouble or not so mature. Plus, I love her hair ❤

Agent Carter E08 & E09
Can Peggy and Daniel just get together already, I cannot take all the stares and sexual tension anymore! Just kiss already!
kiss tangled aww now kiss vladimir

This was another two episode joy ride, but wasn’t as complicated as last week. Wilkes and Whitney talk about experimenting on each other to find out about Zero Matter and she is told by the Zero Matter that she needs the uranium rods to recreate the explosion that caused the initial Zero Matter rift to open (she’s hearing voices that Wilkes isn’t – creepy, I know) In the meantime, Anna wakes up and Jarvis learns she can never have children and Peggy, Sousa and Jarvis decide to exchange fake uranium rods for Wilkes’ life. BUUUUUUUT the exchange goes wrong and Wilkes holds a gun to Peggy’s head demanding Sousa to tell him where the real rods are kept, making the most of Sousa’s feelings for her, that sneaky two timing bastard! Sousa tells him that the rods are at the SSR, Wilkes tells Whitney, Whitney tells Masters (You can see where this is going…) BUUUUUUT welcome Jack Thompson, who finally gets his head screwed on properly, and confronts Masters stealing the rods, only to have his memories erased and gets found by Sousa and Peggy. In the end, Whitney manages to open the Zero Matter rift, Wilkes disappear into it, the team uses a Gamma ray gun to close the rift, Wilkes is left behind – oh and Jarvis shoots Whitney in his anger, she survives but then kidnaps Peggy and Jarvis. And that was episode 8.

Episode 9 opens with a lovely musical number, which was Peggy’s hallucinations, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching everyone sing and dance a little. Whitney decides to operate/experiment on Wilkes who knows he’s ticking time bomb ready to explode, after Peggy and Jarvis have escaped their kidnappers and started their journey home. Peggy makes Jarvis go and spend time with this wife, while Jack tells Masters that he should meet with Whitney and use the Gamma gun to kill her BUUUUUUT he double crosses Masters and tells Whitney their plan and that she should kill him when he comes in exchange for a spot on the Council. Peggy punches Masters, and their all kind of on the same side but unknown to anyone, Jack has turned the Gamma gun into a Gamma bomb and intends to blow it up both Masters and Whitney – and doesn’t care that an innocent Wilkes is in the same place and would die as well. But Sousa and the lab tech guy disarm the bomb, much to Jack’s disappointment and Peggy fails in saving Wilkes, with the episode ending with the Zero Matter in Wilkes exploding out of him. Now the issue is that next week is the finale of the season for a whole year, which means that there is a lot that needs to be covered next week and I have too many questions that need to be answered in a 45 minute episode, I CAN’T WAIT!

NCIS E16
Man, you really feel for Tony in this episode, it’s just a very nostalgic episode and plenty of old memories are brought up. Dr Taft and Jeanne come back in a case involved stolen guns and the case comes around to Le Grenioulle and Tony and Jeanne’s past. It was a pretty good episode, and we also get the opportunity to see a close relationship developing between Gibbs and Taft – it’s high time that Gibbs has a friend.

Suits E15
Harvey and Mike have zero faith in themselves and the case that they put up to free Mike, need Donna and Rachel to grow a pair and Louis has a freak out! By the end of the episode, Gibbs has gotten into Mike’s head to take a deal, but keep in mind that next week is the season finale, so I’d be happy to see how this all plays out. Also, it’s been 5 years, and I just feel like this show is coming to an end, I hope they don’t drag it out unnecessarily!

The 100 E06
There were three main scenarios going on this episode, so I’m going to try and summarise it quickly, because tbh, the episode was a bit meh and I found myself reaching for my phone to plan Candy Crush on :/ It was heavy on information and talking and light on the action, at least that’s what I found

  1. Emmerson (the last Mountain-man) is delivered to the Capital and Lexa leaves it to Clarke to decide if they want to kill him or not. Funnily enough, when it comes to avenging the Grounders, Clarke is all “blood must not have blood”, but the minute it’s her own avenging happening, she’s all “yes, let’s kill him, he’s a bad guy” – Thankfully she comes to her senses and banishes him from the land.
  2. Kane bugs Pike’s meeting room and overhear him making plans to eliminate an entire Grounder village in order to use their land to grow crops. Octavia goes to warn the village, instead gets captured and the village creates a trap for Bellamy and his village-extinguishing posse, all but one survive. Pike realises that Kane is a traitor and asks his lapdog Bellamy to find proof (I’m starting to think that Bellamy and Jack Thompson from Agent Carter are cut from the same cloth: easily influenced and shit really needs to hit the fan before they realise they’re on the wrong side)
  3. Raven is cured of all her pain when she has the pill that Jaha gives her, Jasper wants to do the same and Abby is just a little bit concerned as to how the pill works, which is totally understandable. But her assistant, Jackson has taken the mystery magic pill and is on Jaha’s side :/ Anyway, ALIE wants to find the program to upgrade her system, uses Raven to get to it and discovers that there was another section (Section 13) that was not sent up to the Arc, and that section is somewhere on the ground (Hint: With the Grounders) and has the upgrades ALIE needs to – take over the world?!

I don’t know how I feel about the show anymore, it’s not what it started out as, and I haven’t decided if I like these changes or not…

How to Get Away with Murder E12
AH the ending, the ending! Ok so again, if you don’t want spoilers, skip on down past the gif of a shocked Pumba. Alright, the rest of you, man that was a good episode! In the past, we see very preggers Annalise convinces Rose to be a witness for her in the defense of Charles the murdering fiancé. However, on the day of the trial, Rose doesn’t appear to testify, causing the case to fall apart and Annalise returning to Rose to confront her. At the end of that scene, Rose shouts at Christophe and his expression is… not an average angry child face. Meanwhile, Philip Jesup demands $1mil from the team or he’ll send the video incriminating them to the police. Everyone spends the entire episode freaking out, except Wes and Laurel who go to Cleveland to have a look at the case Rose was involved in. In Cleveland, they get super close and finally hook up (actually the first time members of the Keating-5 have hooked up, they lasted almost 2 seasons!) but Laurel discovers something about the case and doesn’t tell Wes. Back in Philly, the team spend a night living their lives (ie. having sex with their respective others), ignore the deadline and discover that Philip is stalking the Keating house. And then enter Laurel, who demands to speak to Annalise about a document that states that Christophe/Wes is the primary suspect in the death of this mum and the scene cuts to a dying Rose on the floor with a Christophe holding a bloody knife – HOLY SHIT WHAT?! DID WES ACTUALLY KILL HIS MOTHER BECAUSE SHE TOLD HIM TO GO TO BED?! WHAT WHAT WHAT?! what omg shocked wut wat

The Flash E15
So after Jay’s “death”, everyone is super emotional and on edge and I can see why, but it got a bit much after the 10 minutes. Harry tells Cisco and Barry not to talk about what happened on Earth-2 but that’s pretty hard considering one saw his best friend as n evil Meta and the other saw his father figure die in front of him. Whilst all this emotional turmoil is going on, Diggle and Lyla (the new Director of ARGUS) visit Central City because King Shark has escaped and is still after The Flash, Wally and Barry are trying to deal with their relationship and Caitlin is slowly turning into Killer Frost. There are some seriously good special effects and computerizations going on between The Flash and King Shark’s but the clincher for the episode comes riiiiiight at the end. If you haven’t seen the episode, please skip ahead to the Arrow section, because there are spoilers up ahead:

ZOOM IS JAY! Well, not exactly, I don’t really know, but once Zoom comes through the breach back to Earth-2 with a dead Jay in his grips, he takes his mask off and has Jay’s face! The thing is with this show, you just can’t guess anything that’s going to happen because there’s alternate universes and time travel and anything is possible. Safe to say, my mind was blown, but now we have to wait till March 22 to get the next episode – damn you writers!television no brooklyn nine nine chelsea peretti thumbs down

Arrow E15
Darhk reveals that he’s kidnapped William and wants Olli to step down from his Mayoral campaign and endorse Ruvé – and oh look, everyone knows about William now. Including Felicity. Who should have been one of the first people but oh well. Team Arrow have no idea where he is so they ask Vixen’s help. For all those out there that aren’t in touch with their comic book side (like me), she’s another DC superhero that uses a totem/necklace to “channel the spirit of any animal” which means that she can channel a gorilla and become super strong etc. Anyway, she locates Will, and of course Darhk beats them, so they decide to steal HIS totem that his giving his magic and destroy it. All in all, the team gets William back (he’s now a huge fan of the Green Arrow, stuff The Flash), they destroy Darhk’s magic, Thea is furious at Malcolm for being a jerk dad and telling Darhk about William, Samantha takes William far away and Olli makes him a video for his 18th birthday. BUT then, Felicity leaves Olli. And you know what the funny/awkward/ironic thing is? She has the microchip in her that would help her walk and just as she leaves her engagement ring on the table in front of Ollie, she regains the use of her legs, gets off her wheelchair and literally struts out of the apartment. Mum and I just looked at each other and shook out heads – one cannot simply be wheelchair bound for months and then get up and walk away, no matter what kind of high tech shit you got in you!

Legends of Tomorrow E06
Ok, first things first. I understand that Stephen Amell is a beautiful man (let’s be honest, he’s the reason I started watching Arrow), and it is hard to hide his natural gorgeousness but the makeup team really needs to get their shit together! In Arrow, we had to deal with three years of his terrible wigs in the flashbacks and in this episode, we had to watch him as an old man with one arm and let’s be honest, when you see what they’ve done to Olli, no one believes it. Ok rant over – this was a pretty cool episode which saw the team in Star City 2046 – the Green Arrow is John Diggle Jr (aka Connor Hawke), Deathstroke is Grant Wilson (son of Slade Wilson), everyone has left Star City, including Felicity and Smoak Enterprises but didn’t take everything with her. In order to save the damaged Waverider, part of the team go back to Team Arrow’s Bat-Cave to find the tech they need plus an old, one-armed Olli Queen. The team does their thing, Rory and Snart have a woring disagreement, Sara and Rip try to understand why both of them are willing to alter the timeline for their families and Palmer and Jacks fight for Kendra’s attention. In the end, all is well, Grant Wilson is killed and Star City is “safe”. It was a pretty cool episode that got more of the DC universe involved but also got you thinking about the things you would do for your friends and family.

The ones I haven’t mentioned: Scorpion E17 (Toby tells the team about him and Happy and they all fight gun-carrying, drug-transporting drones in the middle of a desert), Supernatural E15 (Sam and Dean’s childhood wrestling fantasies come to life), The Big Bang Theory E17 (It’s the 200th episode and we get to celebrate Sheldon’s birthday with a whole heap of guest stars, not as funny as I thought it would be though :/) and New Girl E08.

Hope you guys have a fantastic week, thanks for reading!

Marvel Universe Crossover and a Prison Break!

Wassup guys?! Welcome to another week of my TV adventures, where I try and avoid all social commitments so that I can sit in my pjs, eat copious amounts of chocolate and forget  the time a waiter gave my my lunch and said “Enjoy!” and I said “You too!” with a huge grin on my face.

Daredevil Season 1
Oh my god, what a fantastic show! And I’m not just saying it because I’m a sucker for Marvel shows; I’m saying this because I actually genuinely thought it was a brilliant show. I hadn’t seen the movie or known anything about it but I had heard good things about it, so I gave it a go and man, it was worth it. The show follows Matthew Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer living in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan who owns his own law firm with his best friend Franklin “Foggy” Nelson (Elden Henson) and are joined by Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) after she is involved in a cover up at her firm. Little do they know that after his accident that took his sight when he was 9, he was trained in order to use his other senses to let him “see” and he goes out at night to try and save his city – becoming known as the guy in the black mask or the Devil in Hell’s Kitchen. The villain for this season is Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) and I guess he’s acted really well because you really come to despised his psychotic character, despite what happened in his past.  Anyway, I don’t want to get into the plot too much, but just know that it is written superbly, with interesting characters, coupled with the odd bit of humour and lots of dark moments. Special mention has to go to the action team, the choreographers and stuntmen. For a TV show, there is a huge amount of time spent into creating the most amazing action sequences I’ve seen on the small screen and the whole action production team deserve all the awards. My favourite scene has to be at the end of episode 2, the entire shot is taken without cutting to another camera and is in a narrow corridor with beautiful lighting and tbh, I don’t think there are many movies that can do it as well as they did. The show is on Netflix and season 2 in premiering on March 18th, and I highly recommend watching season 1 in time for the next season. Truly amazing, all the thumbs up!

thumbs up

Agent Carter E06 and E07
This week was another double episode and next week will be too, so make sure you stay on track! Things are got very interesting – the team realises that they need some zero matter to anchor Dr. Wilkes in this physical state so they devise a plan to get some of Whitney’s blood at a charity function. However, Peggy is still hurt and they know Sousa, so they decide to get kidnap Dottie from her cell at the SSR and use her. Of course, things go wrong, Whitney kills half of the council, including her husband and kidnaps the already kidnapped Dottie who sees her kill everyone. Thankfully, Peggy is able to get Whitney’s blood, but not before Masters (FBI guy) tells Jack that Peggy needs to be “taken care of” because of her insubordination. Oh and Sousa and Peggy have a “moment” and almost kissed, and when they didn’t, I may have shouted at my laptop :/

NO

In episode 7, Masters tries to torture Dottie to get information on Peggy but you know what? Dottie is just so damn cool. Look I get it, she’s a crazy, Russian killing machine, but damn, she faces torture like it’s a walk in the park. Of course she’s been trained for this, but still, there’s only so often you see a character tell the torturer that she’s done worse to herself while smiling sweetly. Anyway, in comes Whitney and uses the zero matter in her to torture and get the information she needed. Meanwhile, Wilkes designs a containment chamber from him, gets injected with the zero matter, becomes whole again and kisses Peggy. One point to the director for cutting to a shot of the Jarvis’s and both of their reactions to the kiss, it was a interesting touch – the curiosity of a woman and the politeness of a man who has been taught to show discretion and turn a blind eye to certain practices. Anyway, Whitney sets a trap for Peggy and Jarvis using Dottie as bait, however turns out its actually a ploy to get Wilkes on his own to and kidnap him so that they can use their powers together and see what they can do together. But while she’s escaping, she shoots Anna in the stomach just as Jarvis arrives back, and in the scenes after, you really see him struggle with the thought that it was his adventures that out his wife’s life in danger. For this episode, I think that they focus was Peggy and Jarvis, you get to watch him be a good friend and talk to her about his sudden love triangle, and at the end, Peggy sits with him in the hospital, offering him her friendship and support. I am truly going to be sad when this show ends.

Now I’m putting this at the end of this section because I noticed some interesting details about both Marvel shows, and the genius that goes on linking the stories together. Firstly, in Daredevil, they make reference to a Roxxon Corporation in a case Matt and Foggy are working on, which turns out, is the same company Peggy steals the uranium rods from in episode 5! And another thing, I was watching Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and there is a scene where Peggy talks about her husband and family, and it made me realise that we just may be able to see who she ends up marrying in Agent Carter. Man, the more I get into these shows and movies, the more hooked I get!

Castle E10 and E11
Before you say anything, yes it was a double episode so if you haven’t watched both of them yet, stop reading, go watch them and but then come back! … Ok, you’ve watched them? Good. Episode 10 showed Castle witnessing a murder 5 months ago and being called on as a witness for the prosecution, only to realise that he didn’t actually see the murderer. An interesting series events means that the defence lawyer on the case is actually someone that is involved in Beckett’s investigation of Loksat and she has to try and work with him while knowing he’s involved in something much more sinister. Episode 11 is a bit more light-hearted, Castle and Becket get involved with the Russian embassy, an over enthusiastic Nicki Heat fan and Russian Cold War spies, it’s all very James Bond J Castle also finally meets his step-mother and realises that although his father might not always be there, he does love and care about him.

Supernatural E14
So we’re back to the main issue of the season and the brothers discover that there are objects in the world that have been “touched by God” and might hold the power to killing Amara. They find out that an object like that did exist but it disappeared on a submarine back in World War II so they see if “Castiel” can take them back in time to get the object before it disappears. Anyway, Dean goes back in time, finds the object but has to use it to get back to the present time, and when he returns, him and Sam discover that “Castiel” is actually Lucifer. Time to see how this plays out…

The 100 E05
Not much happened this week on The 100, I guess they can’t really have super interesting episodes all the time. Firstly, Pike, Bellamy and their Grounder-hating posse go off and slaughter Indra’s crew of good Grounders and Lexa and Clarke find her left alive just to tell them that the Grounders are not welcome. Clarke manages to get into Arcadia to talk to Bellamy but he’s acts like a backstabbing ass and so she has to run away, with Octavia and Marcus Kane helping. Meanwhile, Lexa says that “blood will not have blood” and Jaha finds Arcadia to try and get people to come to the City of the Lights and to me, it sounds a lot like committing suicide and going to “heaven”. Anyway, the main scene that stuck with me was Pike talking to Arcadia and saying something on the lines of “We own the ground and we’re staying and the others are not welcome and they have no say”. Sounds A LOT like what people used to say when they invaded a country and ignored the indigenous people there (eg. Australia, America, Canada) – are the writers trying to make the audience think about these things, or is it just me?

How to Get Away with Murder E11
I feel like this episode was all about confessions because everyone started telling everyone everything, and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. In the present, Wes gets put in the psych ward of hospital after he tells his doctor that he might just kill himself if she didn’t give him some sleeping pills. So she forces him to talk to her and he talks about his mothers suicide. Meanwhile, the rest of the Keating 5 are involved in a very interesting case about a mother who is appealing to have her son’s murderer have a shorter sentence and Charlie reveals to Laurel that he killed Lila. The Keating 4 leave Annalise when they realise she knows about Wes in the hospital and hasn’t done anything about it, and the 5 students then have a little heart to heart in the car – one of the few times that they do, and it was nice to see them all talk a bit (in the middle of snide comments and lame jokes of course). In the flashbacks, we see Charlie and Bonnie as part of pregnant Keatings 5, and we find out out that Annalise has been meeting with Christophe and Rose (Wes and his mum). Now the interesting part comes when Annalise gives Rose a file with documents about the murder of a hedge-fund heir and leaves us with the question – how the hell is Rose involved, and is this case the reason she killed herself?!

confused kristen wiig meh maybe

Anyway, the episode ends on two cliffhangers – 1. Connor received a video from someone (Philip Jesup?!) from the night Annalise was shot and 2. Annalise leaves the stack of mysterious files at Wes’ apartment … WHAT IS GOING ON???????

The Flash E14
This week on The Flash: on Earth-2, Barry-2 and Iris-2 help Cisco and Harry find Killer Frost and get her to help them rescue Barry-1 and Jesse. Barry and Jesse try to interpret what the other prisoner is say and get the word “JAY” from him. Meanwhile on Earth-1, Jay takes Velocity 9 which helps him, Iris and Caitlin catch Geoman, and find out that the drug is actually help cure him. Then, along with Joe, the four of them manage to fix the broken breach stabilizers, and the Earth-2 team escape Zoom’s lair only to have Zoom reach through and pull Jay back to Earth-2. Now I understand that if you don’t watch The Flash, that paragraph makes absolutely NO SENSE what-so-ever, so just have faith that once you do start watching (or catch up), it’ll make sooooooo much more sense. I have so many theories of who Zoom is at the moment, that I don’t know which one to follow: Wally West, Jay, some weird time/world mash up of Barry or Harrison Wells – who knows! Anything is possible!

Arrow E14
This week, the team faces the Demolition Team, a team in HIVE that blows up buildings in order to kill people. Oh did I mention that they use hammers and nail-guns as their weapons of choice? Oh yea, the nail-gun chick is vicious and crazy AF. Anyway, Ollie is up against Ruvé (aka, Darhk’s evil wife) in the Mayoral Debate and wins (HOORAH!), Momma Smoak plans Olicity’s engagement party, Curtis Holt gives them the most amazing wedding present ever and, oh did I forget to mention? DAMIAN DARHK HAS OLLIE’S SON! We have no idea how or what happened, but he has William in his house and introduces him to his daughter – Where is his mother???!!!!!!!

Legends of Tomorrow E05

Before I say anything more, it must be noted that Snart makes the BEST comment about prison “This isn’t my first prison break”. GEDDIT!? Wentworth Miller was on Prison Break – there was literally an entire show made about him getting his brother out of jail. Best line ever, I would have switched off my TV happily at the end of that, but I kept going. Let’s keep it short and sweet: Stein gets tortured into tell evil Russian scientist the formula for Firestorm (but she doesn’t know he’s part of Firestorm), Ray gets beat up for Rory and they become besties, Snart and Sara go in to rescue the three from a Russian gulag – Snart wants to save Rory and Rip tells Sara to kill Stein if necessary so Savage doesn’t learn to make Firestorm. Of course in the end, everything works out, evil Russian lady tries to join with Stein to become Firestorm and kills herself and Sara doesn’t kill Stein – Team work for the win! Oh but wait –  their Tardis (I can’t remember the name) gets damaged thanks to Bobba Fett (I can’t remember his name either 😉 ) and they end up in Star City 2047. With a different Green Arrow. Da Fuq?! Can someone also please explain to me how two men can have a full on fight in their towels but i cant walk 7m to my bedroom without something popping out?!

New Girl E07 (Nick, Cece and Schmidt think that Reagan is a criminal and I found myself missing Jess), NCIS E15 (SecNav’s daughter gets kidnapped and Fornell from the FBI comes into assist), Suits E14 (Mike and Harvey fight to be Mike’s lawyer, and the prosecutor Gibbs uses Trevor and Donna against Mike’s case), The Big Bang Theory E16 (The group finds out about Bernie’s pregnancy and Sheldon gets drunk 🙂 )

Have a good week maties!

Why So Complicated??

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you guys had a lovely Valentine’s Day and generally a good week! I finally managed to finish of Breaking Bad and HOLY SHIT it got good. I really hope I wasn’t the only one that really, really, really despised Walter and wanted him to die for doing what he did to Jesse and Hank in the name of “doing it for his family” ??? I got so sick of hearing his excuses for being a complete nut-job that I was so happy he finally admitted his selfishness to Skyler and died. I truly hated his character, I don’t think I’ve hated a main character, or any character to be honest, this much before, and I’ve watched some weird shit. Anyway, my week was mainly filled with finishing that off, but thanks to my lazy disposition, I managed to watch all my usuals as well so we’re still on track. There were a few hits and misses and my list is growing again, so I’m going to go back to writing about the important episodes and just listing the rest in case you want to watch them anyway. I also found a theme of “let’s make this episode super complicated this week” in most of the shows this week, and safe to say, it annoyed me.

giphy (1)

Castle E09
One of my favourite couples is back! Castle and Beckett are secretly seeing each other (can I even say that considering they’re married?) but to show the rest of the world and Lokstat that they’re separated, Castle and Beckett say that they’re both seeing other people, much to the shock of Ryan and Esposito. The rest of the episode is a classic one, involving an acapella competition, Espo got his Pitch Perfect on, and Corbin Bleu from High School Musical made a guest appearance. All in all, a good episode, just want to see how far they’re going to go with these lies.

NCIS: LA E15
Here is my first example of overly complicated episodes for no reason. We basically deduce that Archaedes is alive, his daughter is looking for him and Sam and G are sent to Russia to go get him and a missing CIA agent back. I kind of thought it was a waste of an episode, when the entire plot can be written in one sentence but I guess the next episode will be more intense seeing as this one was just laying the groundwork.

Agent Carter E05
Half way through the season already! Just a heads up, the next two weeks are double episodes and so the season will be ending on the 1st of March – keep an eye out and make sure you don’t miss out! Anyway, this episode was a nice and simple one: The Zero Matter speaks to Whitney and makes her realise that she needs to steal an atomic bombs to recreate the discovery of Zero Matter. Peggy puts together a team of her, Jarvis, Sousa, Rose (the receptionist at the SSR) and Samberly (the lab tech) to go steal the uranium rods from a bomb stored in one of Chadwick’s facilities. Everything goes to plan until Peggy is touched by Whitney and then falls and injures herself. Sousa ends up taking her to his fiancés house to get treated, where she realises that Sousa is in love with Peggy and that is the reason he left New York. Wilkes also regains his physical body for a short time after touching the Zero Matter in the first victims body (remember back to episode 1, the lady in the lake?) but at the end of the episode, starts fading away entirely. It was a slower episode than what we’re used to, but you know what? It didn’t even feel like it because the characters are so vibrant and interesting that you’re focused on them rather than the plot – and sometimes, that’s not always a bad thing.

Supernatural E13
For me, this is one of those episodes where they have a main plot line which carries the episode but then they use the seasons sub-plot to weave a deeper story and add to the characters. Our favourite brothers get involved with a witch who is in charge of a cursed kissing genie and in turn, end up discussing Dean’s unfathomable attraction to Amara. It was nice to see the brothers talk, for 11 years, we’ve been watching them lie to each other and what not, but I’m glad to see a little bit of character development. Who wants to bet that in the last few episodes, one of them will lie to the other and we’ll be back where we started?

The 100 E04
Example numero duo. A lot happened this week, and a lot of characters were involved which was the exact opposite of some shows, like Agent Carter. I got the feeling that the writers/directors wanted to pack so much into the episode that we were distracted by the plot line and forgot the fact that some of the characters are just not… right. For example, following last week’s episode, Bellamy and the new Arkers have decided to take matters into their own hands and then Charles Pike is elected as the Chancellor. Now the thing that got me is that Bellamy is a strong guy, a leader, but he’s going back to being the scared and malleable guy that we saw in season 1, the guy whose thinking and opinions can be changed by someone who he knows isn’t always right. We actually had some good character progression going, and now all the kids are being reverted back to their old selves. Not only that, but the 100 was about the hundred kids that get sent down to Earth and how they survived, but now it’s all about the adults changing everything and bring politics into every decision. I think the show is slowly losing the essence of what made it a unique show to begin with. Anyway, the main part of the rest of the episode was Lexa fighting the Ice Prince (who is the Queen’s champion) for the position of Commander. Of course Lexa wins, but rather than killing the Prince, she throws the dagger at the Ice Queen, but the second that happened, I knew I had seen it before. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out which show had the same death, and I’m tempted to say Game of Thrones, but it’s definitely happened before, so please leave a comment below if you know which show and put me out of my confused misery!

Suits E13
Example tres – what is it with episodes this week that were just convoluted and unnecessary?! Basically all that happened in Suits this week was that Rachel’s education at Columbia gets put in jeopardy when the Dean of the Law School threatens to expel her because he heard rumours that Mike sat the LSATs for people and think’s that’s how Rachel gets in. This causes Mike to go all fiancé-crazy and the team realise that he isn’t even being accused of this crime, which means that Gibbs has some additional information and this is not good. Meanwhile, Harvard law students don’t want to come to Pearson Specter Litt so Louis has to start going to other law schools (GAAAASP!) to find new associates.

The Flash E13
This is possibly the only episode in the entire week that had to be complicated, but was still done really well and the writers kept it as simple as possible. Harry, Barry and Cisco go through the last breach into Earth-2 and discover that everything is the opposite as Earth-1. Iris is a detective with the CCPD, Barry is still a forensic investigator and is married to her and Joe is a jazz singer that hates him because she has to work to put Barry through his PhD and put her life on the line. Barry-1 decides to abduct Barry-2 and become Barry-2 to find out more about Zoom when he runs into Killer Frost, Deathstorm and Reverb aka. Caitlin, Ronnie and Cisco who are out to capture him for Zoom. Through a series of unfortunate events, people die and Zoom takes Barry only to put him in the same place Jesse is and taunts him. Now back in Earth-1, after the three go through the breach, it kind of collapses on itself, giving Jay and Caitlin only 48 hours to open it back up to let Barry and Cisco back in, oh shit! In addition to that, there’s an earthquake-making meta wanting to fight the Flash and it’s up to Jay to take Velocity-7 (the speed drug) and stop him. Next episode is going to be very very very interesting!

Arrow E13
Example number 4 of stupidly complicated episodes. I’m going to try and give you the plot of this episode in 3 sentences.

  1. Felicity’s dad wants to have a relationship so Felicity tests him, finds out that he wants to steal Palmer Tech’s tech and she has him arrested.
  2. Team Arrow try to convince Malcolm to give up his League of Assassins power to Nyssa for the elixir to save Thea, only to realise that he’s a selfish and horrible father who needs to have his hand literally chopped off by Olli and his ring of power physically removed from his body in order to save Thea.
  3. Malcolm hates Olli and tells Damian Darhk about his illegitimate son.

Done and done.

Legends of Tomorrow E04
This was actually a rather simple episode but there’s a general trend forming – the team has a plan, all goes to shit, everyone fights and then they all come together to fight evil,. Except not necessarily in this case :/ Kendra and Sara realise that they need each other to discover their winged-warrior-priestess and normal-human sides, and you know what? I really hope that the two of them stick together and become friends, they’re gonna need it in this team of pumped up, testosterone-filled men. The team discover that  Savage is trying to recreate Firestorm in 1968 using a Russian scientist and while trying to get away from the lab, Stein, Palmer and Rory get caught and taken away. Meanwhile, Rory is trying to deal with the Time Council and the bounty hunter trying to kill him. Highlight of the episode was when one of the team members called the bounty hunter Bobba Fett, night made 🙂

How to Get Away with Murder E10
WE’RE BACK! Again, this episode was extremely complicated for no reason (example 5) so imma simplify the shit out of it so as not to waste your time. First the boring stuff – Annalise is out of hospital after Wes shoots her, Laurel tells the rest of the team it was her instead, Asher thinks his dad was murdered and didn’t commit suicide, Caleb Hapstall hates Michaela and Annalise breaks her attorney client privilege when she tells the court in a hearing that Catherine didn’t shoot her parents when testifying against Catherine’s case. The BIIIIIG moment was when Annalise and Caleb convince Catherine to tell lie and confess to the court that she did kill Emily Sinclair and shoot Annalise but drugged thanks to Philip Jesup – Oooohhhhhhhh! Anyway, for me, the most important part of the episode was when Annalise overdoses on Vicodin and imagines an African lady giving her a crying baby and fleeing. Bonnie comes to her call only to find Annalise giving her an empty blanket with no baby. We think that the hallucinations are because of the medication, except Annalise continues hearing the baby crying and at the end of the episode, is seen hugging herself, imagining putting the baby to sleep. Now one question begged to be answered – Is that little baby Wes? Maybe she’s his mother??? But then we get a flashback to a pregnant Annalise 10 years ago meeting a young Wes and his mum at a park – What happened after that?! The episode raised a lot more questions than it answered, but I’m sure happy it’s back!

Ones that weren’t mentioned: Scorpion E16 (Earthquake, team of awkward geniuses stop LA from going boom!), The Big Bang Theory E15 (Bernie is PREGGERS!), NCIS E14 (A lesson on how to solve a case without having proper access to the victim), and New Girl E06 (Megan Fox, more like Mega-Foxy, makes everyone all hot and bothered).

I need to work on my titles…

I’m going to start by apologising right now, this is going to be a stupidly long post again, but I just can’t help myself! I edit and edit and try and cut things down but its soooooo hard!

Castle – E06, 07, 08

So I was deciding which show I should catch up on first this week, and decided on Castle. There were only three episodes, it’s the mid-season finale and I just wanted to find out if Caskett will survive! And my prayers were answered. In the episode 6, Beckett wasn’t present, but Ethan Slaughter was back to partner with Castle, and it took me so long to realise that it was Adam Baldwin who was on Firefly with Nathan Fillion! Thanks to him, it was a bit of a funny episode, which I definitely enjoyed on my gloomy Tuesday morning bus ride to work. Episode 7 was about Caskett’s anniversary and they decide to take a time-out from their time-out (Hoorah!). But actually, the best part of the episode was Ryan and Espo fighting about getting shot in the butt and not passing the sergeants exam however, the best friends manage to get over their issues after Ryan performs and incredible act of bravery. Bros for life! Now episode 8 was the biggie and as someone who always hopes people end up with a happy(ish) ending, this episode made me very happy. Becket finally comes to her senses and Castle is the usual loving husband. The only thing that niggled at my brain was how freaking suspicious Vikram looks! I’ve always had my doubts about him from the beginning, but in these episodes, he spends the entire time sabotaging Caskett and making Beckett ruin her marriage for “the good of the mission”, or whatever other bs he spouts out. I dunno, he’s a bit fishy, but I guess we won’t find out till February now!

Bones – E05, 06, 07, 08

Bones is an interesting show at the moment. It’s been on for 11 seasons and although most of the cases follow the same format, I’m not entirely sick of it yet, but I do think it’s done it’s time. All the characters are set so there isn’t really anywhere for the show to progress to, but I have a feeling they’ll keep this one going for at least a couple of years. In the four episodes that I missed, the cases and the stories were pretty good, keeping up to the classic Bones standard that we’re all used to by now. Episode 6 showed a little bit more Jessica and Aubrey (they are so adorbz) but the highlight for me was Caroline Julian’s usual sass and flirty behaviour. That woman had me in giggles and I wish that I was half as funny or sassy as her. And to top off their Thanksgiving episode 8, Booth’s oldest son, Parker, was back! It’s been years since he’s come, after moving to London with his mum, but he’s all grown up! Makes you realise how much people change when they’ve been on a show for 11 years J

Scorpion – E06, E07, E08, E09, E10

This show is so bad but so good, I don’t know how I feel. Some part of me loves it, there are so many thing that go wrong and yet they still manage to get the bad guys and not die, and the other part of me just looks at Walter running and jumping onto a moving train and thinks “how much is this show really based on the life of Walter O’Brien?” Anyway, these 5 episodes were great, interesting stories, people almost dying, Walter losing his mind slowly, Toby & Happy’s weird relationship, too much sexual tension between Walter and Paige, and Gabe and Ralph just sitting back watching everyone live their lives. I will mention however, that in episode 10, we say goodbye to Megan, Walter’s sister and Sylvester’s love/wife (that’s a weird story), and the moment was captured beautifully, and yes, I wept like a little baby. Imma probably keep watching the show, but I don’t know for how long, some of the stories are getting a little TOO unbelievable. Even for me.

Arrow E04, E05, E06, E07

I’m going to be honest, the reason it took me an extra week to watch the Arrow episodes was because I was just not motivated enough too. Some of the characters were frustrating, some I would consider reaching into the TV and actually slapping, and the story line was just getting more ridiculous as each episode went by. It is also very evident that the writers have just given up on the past-Oli’s ARGUS storyline because apart from a brief introduction to Constantine, the story is so boring, I don’t care anymore! Episode 4 basically involves everyone finding out about everything so I can tell you what happens in one sentence. Team finds out about new lair, Lance finds out about the lair, Team finds out about Oli wanting to become Mayor, Lance finds out about sara, Oli finds out about Lance and Darhk, and in the flashback, the army guy finds out about Oli’s mission (told you I could do it!) Now I don’t watch the show Constantine but in episode 5, John Constantine, a mysterious man who engages in magic and witchcraft and turns up on Lian-Yu to steal a magical object with Oli’s help in the flashbacks. Fast forward to the present time, and the episode is about asking John for his help in returning Sara’s sol back to her body, which explains why she is coming after Thea (as Thea’s the one that killed her in the first place). Everything turns out fine and dandy except that Felicity finds a voice recording from Ray saying that he’s alive and the episode ends with a bit of a “WTF” moment because Ray was killed in an explosion. Whaaaaaa?

In episode 6, Felicity and her assistant person, Curtis (who for some reason, she trusts with the most sensitive tasks even though she’s known him all of half a season) decode Ray’s message saying that he’s alive and manage to find him. Turns out in the explosion, the nanomites that he was working on caused him and his suit to shrink (like Ant-Man) and who has captured him? None other than Darhk, who just happens have his fingers stuck in every little messy pot in Star City. Anyway, the team manage to get Ray out, safe and sound, and Sara (who’s been feeling a bit blood-lusty) decides to leave Star City and “discover herself” (hmmmm I wonder what new TV show could possibly come from this sudden arrival and departure???). Episode 7 was a little bit frustrating because Diggle tells Oli/ Team Arrow that his brother Andy was killed by HIVE because he became a competitor in the criminal activity world. And then in the next 40 minutes, they discover that Andy is in fact alive and working for HIVE, Diggle doesn’t give a shit and Team Arrow try to convince him that Andy is under the influence of a drug and doesn’t know what he’s doing. Either way, with the help of Ray, Team Arrow manage to infiltrate HIVE and free Andy. Oh and to top it all, Thea discovers that when Darhk tries to kill her by taking away her life force, he can’t and her bloodlust is temporarily gone, WTF?!

The Flash E08, Arrow E08

So this was a double episode so there was no point in me splitting it between shows because that would make no sense at all. These episodes were totally awesome and I don’t care what people tell me, when Oli and Barry get together, shit is bound to go down. Basically, Cisco’s new “friend that he likes and sometimes kisses”, Kendra, is being hunted by Vandal Savage, an immortal who’s immortality relies on killing Kendra and her soul mates lives every time there are reincarnated. Flashback 4000 years to ancient Egypt, and Vandal is a Priest for the Pharoah, Kendra is Priestess Shayera and Carter is Prince Khufu, her soulmate, and the two are killed then and are destined to be reincarnated, find each other and then die again thanks to Savage. It’s a messy story but in one short yet long sentence, Carter and Kendra can sprout wings, and with Team Arrow and Flash, try and kill Savage but he wipes out Star City with his Staff of Horus. HOWEVER, Flash runs and goes back in time, giving everyone another chance to do it again and live. Barry tells Oli, and then they work together to make sure that they all live, hooray! At the end of the double, Kendra and Carter decide to use their powers to do good (oh I wonder what show they may star in with another blonde woman and possibly a man in a metal suit????), but then something happened that had be screaming at the TV. Throughout the episodes, we discover that Oli has a son who is about 9 years old. In the first time line, he makes Barry run a parternity test and Felicity finds out, they break up, he loses his head and they all die. In the second time line, Barry warns Oli before doing anything stupid, but Oli still goes and sees his baby mumma and promises that in exchange for being a part of his son’s life, he won’t tell anyone about him. Oh wait hang on, don’t you have an amazing woman that you love, and trust, and should tell everything to????!!!! And isn’t she also so amazing that even though you have a son, she will get over it and still love you because she knows you’ve changed?! And this is what had me screaming – OLI HAS LITERALLY JUST DECIDED THAT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH FELICITY IS DOOMED. Not because he has a son, but because he hides it from her… DO THESE PEOPLE NEVER LEARN?!

The Big Bang Theory – E06, E07, E08, E09

OK I still LUUUUURVE this show but there isn’t really much to report on L The show is funny as usual, but nothing much has really happened. Amy starts to see other people and Sheldon realises he still wants her, Leonard and Penny are hilarious in episode 09 and there are the usual giggly moments that happens when the gang discover dating apps, Craigslist and a soup kitchen. Hilarious!

Quantico E09

What is the haps with this show?! Actually, in terms of what is happening in the present time, it’s not that bad and for once, is in favour of Alex. HIG has come in and, with express permission from the President, taken Alex into interrogation, but of course, they’re sneaky little bastards and whisk her away somewhere so that they can torture a confession out of her. And of course, she won’t break because she’s pretty badass so they have somehow captured Booth and are torturing him to get to her (which is definitely working). Meanwhile, Vasquez finds out that the twins are up to something, confront Shelby who somehow convinces her to be on Team Alex, and I still don’t know how she was able to convince her so easily. Team Alex then discovers a massive hole in the FBI’s case and easily convince Liam that Alex is not the terrorist. And then it’s one happy ending! In the flashbacks at the FBI Academy, a forensic pathologist comes for this week’s lesson and let’s just say that Simon discovers some pretty interesting things about the Doc that ends in him almost being kidnapped :/ However after another series of unfortunate events, Simon discovers that the FBI isn’t what it seems and heads to his “bomb friend” to get blueprints for New York train stations. Now, in my experience, that’s just a little too obvious a clue left by the writers, but you know what, I don’t know anything anymore. In other news, we seeing the beginnings of Alex and Liam’s romantic-ness, and I cannot be the only one here who thinks that it’s totally ew??!!!

Agents of SHIELD E09

Ah sooo much happened and I don’t want to bore you, but ooooooooh things are getting good. First things first. Rosalind shot dead. In front of Coulson. You can thank Ward for that excessive “Imma get back at you for killing Garrett” craziness.  And then Banks is killed by the Hydra dude who can control guns (can you tell that I didn’t even bother Googling his name?). Ward then kidnaps FitzSimmons, and tortures Simmons so Fitz can cave and start helping Hydra go through the portal and open it from the other side. Meanwhile, Bobbi, Hunter and Coulson go out to get revenge for Rosalind and Bobbi’s shootings and make Mack the Director of SHIELD (poor guy is totally out of his depth, but I’ll give him props for trying really hard). They go kidnap Ward’s brother Thomas and totally throw Ward of his game by making him talk to the one person that still has a place in his stone-cold Hydra heart. Anyway after the usual confusion and things going wrong, Ward and Fitz go through the portal and have 12 hours to bring the Thing back to Earth. And to finish off the episode, Coulson jumps off the Hydra plane and heroically jumps straight through the portal after Ward and before it closes. It makes me happy that this show is actually going somewhere, too many shows die after two seasons and this one is just getting better!

Once Upon a Time E10

So finally 10 episodes in, we start to link the Camelot storyline to the one occurring in Storeybrooke at the moment and I’m not going to lie, I couldn’t wrap my head around what exactly went on this whole season, but let’s see if explaining it to you will help me too. So in Camelot, Hook goes from “I’m angry with you for making me the Dark One, Emma” to “I love you so much, let’s find a tree and make out under it” so fast and so many times, I can’t count. But basically, Killian Jones wants Emma, but the Dark One (or the Dark Captain as Regina calls him) wants to kill Rumple so he lies to Emma, and then takes and crushes Merlin’s heart so that the curse is enacted (again) and everyone is transported back to Storeybrooke. Emma fights back to take Hook and everyone else’s memories and allows the curse to continue so that everyone wakes up in Granny’s in their Camelot gear minus the memories. Fast forward to the present Storeybrooke, and Hook takes the dream-catchers, but Henry and Emma have another Operation Shitty-Name to get them back and return everyone’s memories. Hook gives Gold the opportunity to fight each other to finally end the feud, of which Gold wins but Hook has another aim. After getting Gold’s blood on his Hook, he goes to the mysterious Lake and uses the blood to open a portal to the Underworld and bring back Nimue and all the other Dark Ones. Why he needed Gold’s blood, I have no idea, but I feel the writers are depending on the confusion of the show to take the viewer’s attention away from the fact that they’re running out of ideas for the show. Not looking good, my friends…

Doctor Who E12

Now usually if I read spoilers or articles on the internet of a particular episode, I tend to agree with them but I haven’t read anything about this episode from the Whovians so this is entirely my opinion. And I loved it. I really, really did. The Doctor arrives of Gallifrey and basically takes over the planet in his attempt to get Clara back. He does this, but she isn’t alive, she has merely been taken seconds before her death, in between heartbeats. The Doctor intends for her to live back in England but to do that, he has to remove all her memories of him, like Donna and the 10th Doctor. What I liked about this episode that rather than the Doctor getting his way, Clara is the one that wins. She removes all his memories of her and leaves him in Nevada, with no idea how he got there, but a TARDIS with a mural of her on the side. She stays a strong and caring companion and for once, she accepted her death as a critical point in the time continuum and didn’t try to change it herself. The other thing that I liked about this episode was that it made so many references to past episodes, brought back Ashildr, and gave us back the classics like Clara’s signature phrase and the sonic screwdriver (for that I thank the Whovians out there that made so much noise about it that Steven Moffat had to go back to it!). Thank you to Steven Moffat, Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman for giving us an emotional and fitting episode for the end of Series 9. All we need to do now is wait for 3 weeks for the Christmas Special which has the return of River Song!

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy this picture of Labrathor, the only doggie worthy to yield Mjölnir:

One last week.

As you can see, I have one last week. Until all hell breaks loose and I have the joy of watching 14 shows as well as maintaining what is deemed an “acceptable social life”. So let’s start, here are my top picks for this week gone by:

Quantico S01 E01
Right. I’m going to be honest, if this show didn’t have Priyanka Chopra in it, I wouldn’t have bothered watching it, but man I would have missed an amazing show! If you don’t know who Priyanka is, go Wiki her now, she’s incredible. The show is about a new group of FBI recruits at Quantico, each with their own set of secrets. Flash forward a few months, Grand Central Station has been blown up, and it’s up to Alex Parrish (Chopra) to figure out which new recruit did it. Oh, but the FBI already think she is the terrorist. Honestly, I think I’m just excited to see Chopra break the stereotypical Indian mold and absolutely own it on the small screen. But if you’re in it for the story, please stay because the series pilot caught me with my jaw on the floor a few times.

Once Upon a Time S05 E01
I like Disney, and I like TV so this show is basically fulfilling all my fan girl dreams. The season opener was good, and delved straight into what all the fans look for, sassy Regina, an emotionally confused Emma and a hurt and distraught Hook (I am very biased with Hook, so for me, he can do no wrong 😉 ) I did enjoy how the writers wove Rumpelstiltskin into the story considering Gold is dying back in Storybrooke. They’ve added Merida from Brave into the story as well as the rose in the case from Beauty and the Beast.  And in true OUAT fashion, there’s a flash forward, memory loss (again, really?) and story lines in two different worlds. Oh, this season is going to be fun!!!

Castle E2
This was a continuation of the first episode, and it was pretty freaking gripping. Highlights include meeting Castle’s step-mother (who is totally bad-ass), finally revealing what the hell got Beckett shot, and Senator Bracken getting involved in some pretty brutal stuff. As I’m typing this, I’ve realised that I don’t really have a solid opinion on the end of this episode. Part of me saw it coming, because how else will the show go on without drama, but part of me just wants everyone to be happy! Not going to give spoilers, you’re just going to have to watch it and find out!

Marvel’s Agents of Shield S03 E01
This was nothing spectacular an episode to be completely honest, and I was a little disappointed. Firstly (and this bothered me a lot), please explain why there was no Agent May or Grant Ward in the episode. Secondly, don’t you dare have Simmons enveloped by the monolith and then not properly explain where she is. Thirdly, stop making Fitz go crazy!!!! He’s a sensitive soul. And fourth – Daisy/Skye has superpowers, she’s gifted, please stop sticking her in revealing clothing. She doesn’t need it and we like her without her chest popping out of her singlet. End rant.

How to Get Away with Murder E02
I think I’m going to have to write a review for each episode of this show, it’s just too freaking intense. And I think the title should always be “Oh look, another dead person”, because that happened again this episode. There are two main points from this episode: 1. What on Earth has happened in Bonnie’s past?! 2. Viola Davis has acted absolutely amazingly in this episode and her emotional range as an actress is something that everyone needs appreciate. I’m going to leave it there, because she just left me gobsmacked.

Doctor Who E03
Dang nammit writers, not another double episode! It’s got the Doctor and Clara at a research facility at the bottom of the lake and there’s a crew to protect from, well, things. This one ended with a WTF moment, which means that the next episode is going to have a whole lot of wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff (Whovians, you better appreciate that joke 🙂 ). Also, still not a fan of the sonic sunglasses, bring back the screwdriver!!!

Bones S11 E01
This one I did not expect but:

giphy (1)*When writers make it a double episode, which they haven’t done in years*

My train of thought this episode: “Oh crap, Booth’s dead. No, come on, they won’t kill him off, he’s the reason we tolerate Bones. Ah, shit it’s [SPOILER]. Holy crap, there’s only 7 mins left, where is Booth?! Wait, no, hang on, you still haven’t found him, no, hang on, don’t show me the black screen of death. No, no, no. Nooooooo, not “to be continued!!!!!!”” And that’s all I’m going to say.

Episodes that weren’t mentioned: Scorpion E02 (finally, a slightly more realistic episode), NCIS: LA E02 (it’s all about Kensi and Deeks), The Big Bang Theory E02 and NCIS E02 (you’d think I’d stop crying about Gibbs’ family after 13 seasons, but noooo). Hope you enjoyed, see y’all next week!

Murder Murder Murder!

Alrighty guys, as I’m getting warmed up and getting used to “blogging”,  a few more shows premiered this week. I’m not going to lie, I was ridiculously excited to see How to Get Away with Murder, season 1 was way too epic. But hey, scroll down and let’s see:

First off – The Big Bang Theory S09 E01
When we ended the season, Penny and Leonard are in Vegas about to get married and “Shamy” have just broken up. Penny and Leonard go through with the wedding (I’ve been waiting 9 years for this moment) but it’s not all rainbows and sunshine since Leonard confesses to kissing his coworker. Amy and Sheldon realise they have the same friends and things get a little awkward after they’ve broken up, and the situation gets even awkwarder with Sheldon’s lack of social skills. I’d say it was a pretty good first episode, though I did miss the science/nerd factor that is usually expected in the episodes.

Next – Castle S08 E01
Holy dooly, I love the writers of Castle. Seriously, these guys know how to write a spot on episode to get their season started. It had all the makings of a typical episode – banter between the characters, Castle/Beckett cute moments – except that they’ve added the wow factor by putting Beckett in the middle of a triple murder. I don’t to give any spoilers out but it’s a two-part episode, and things are not looking good for Beckett, so we’ll have to see what happens this week!

Next, my long-term investment – NCIS S13 E01
There’s a reason it’s the best show in America at the moment. After 13 seasons, the characters are developed, there’s backstories and emotions and they still manage to pull off a really good opening episode. The season ended with The Calling recruiting children for their terrorist activities and Gibbs getting shot by a teenager. There are the usual Gibbs family flashbacks and the team comes together to solve the case, but for me, the highlight was Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men) who plays Gibbs’ surgeon and I hope they have more of him in this season.

NCIS: LA Season S07 E1
I’m not going to lie, this wasn’t the season opener I was expecting. There was a lot about G, and I want him to find out about his past as much as the next viewer, but I feel like this episode did nothing to continue to help that. There was a few interesting moments between G, Hetty and Sam, but that’s it. It was a little disappointing, I hope next week is a bit better!

Scorpion S02 E01
Crisis, teamwork and a bit of awkwardness, that was basically the jist of the episode. I know this story is loosely based on the real life stories of Walter O’Brien, but I highly doubt that all aspects of this story line are evenly faintly true (you’ll know it when you see it). And this episode is good, but I feel like each one has the same format, there’s a crisis, the team has two solutions, each fails, and then there’s a final solution that they manage to pull off in the nick of time. I hope that the writers mix it up this season, give us some variety!

Returning to our screens, Doctor Who S09 E02
Now this was a Doctor Who episode! It had some beautiful moments between the Doctor and Clara and it really showcased how much she means to him as his Companion. Missy was as fantastic as in the last episode and the writers have been very clever in helping the viewers discover why Daleks are so exterminate-y. I do have one little issue though. During the episode, we learn that the Doctor no longer has a sonic screwdriver, and without giving away any more information, let’s say that I’m not entirely comfortable with this. The screwdriver has been part of the Doctors’ legacy for over 50 years, and for the writers to change, it’s a little bit upsetting.

Now for the one I’ve been waiting for for 3 months, How to Get Away with Murder S02 E01
I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS PREMIER AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT! I was a bit apprehensive at the end of the last season as to how they were going to keep going with the series seeing as we found out who killed Leila and Sam, but OMG they did exactly what they should have. Rebecca has been murdered (who dun it?), there’s a new ongoing trial for Annalise Keating (who dun it?), and in a flash-forward at the end of the episode, one of our beloved characters is shot (who dun it?). At the expense of sounding like a teenage girl at a One Direction concert, “OMG I literally can’t even right now!”

As an ending, I’d just like to question one thing. Why do writers feel the need to shoot and kill off a main character for a show when we know that they’re not going to die? An example would be NCIS, why would you shoot Gibbs as a cliffhanger when we know for a fact that Mark Harmon’s contract was reinstated and he will be returning? Someone explain, please.

Also, it has come to my attention that if I write a review for every single episode, these posts are going to be ridiculously long and you and I are never going to get a proper nights sleep. So, stay tuned to find out which of the shows are my highlights and disappointments rather than me ranting on about how I wanted more of Stephen Amell shirtless 😉 Peace out!
