It’s the end of March already?!

Happy Easter my friends! I hope everyone ate a lot of chocolate and had a truly relaxing weekend 🙂 I decided to start watching Marvel’s Jessica Jones, and so far it’s going alright, but it’s not what I expected, I was expecting more Daredevil and less… Criminal Minds. It is a little creepy, not gonna lie, let’s see how it goes 🙂 The rest of the shows this week were a bit quiet, I guess we’re getting to the slow parts of the season, ready for the finale’s coming in in just over a month. Let’s see how we went:

Quantico E14
This week was more of a “let’s get more information” kind of episode, and not too much action. In the flashbacks, Alex talks to Drew about the Chicago shooting and Liam’s possible involvement, and we discover that Liam was involved in the sting that sold weapons to a white supremacists group, fail to catch them and then go on to kill two people – one of them Drew’s pregnant fiancee. We also find out that Alex and Liam slept together on New Years (am I the only one that though “ew” when we found out?)awkward ew lucille ballMeanwhile nerd-boy Will finds out about Caleb’s other life as Mark Raymond and follows him to a cafe where he’s seen talking to Samar (Shelby’s fake half-sister) and taking money from her – seriously, what the hell is going on there? Nimah also finds out that Raina is undercover at the terrorist cell that kidnapped Charlie, and wants to help but it may be too late, because when Raina returns, the entire supply of guns in the house is missing…

At the present moment, Alex tracks down Asher who’s living in the middle of a forest in snowy Vermont and the few scenes we get between them have some of the best acting I’ve seen both actors give. Asher is suicidal and Alex is not dealing with Vasquez’s death. Ryan and Nimah go find the two of them and on returning back to New York, Alex finally talks to Ryan properly, maybe they can patch things up, partially. Asher also comes to his senses and returns to NY, ready to help Alex as he’s the only one she can trust, and has a plan to catch the terrorists. Let’s go team, we gots this!

Once Upon a Time E14
Man, the family tree is truly messed up after this episode! In this episode, Rumple tells the team that they need to get into Hades’s house, and the only way to do that is if they mask themselves in the aura of another dead person – and who should be call but his ex-wife, Neil’s mother, Hook’s lover – Milah. She is equally shocked when she finds out that Emma was in love with both her lover and her son… awkies! Anyway, they manage to travel through the River of Lost Souls and Emma finds Hook who is inches away from plunging to his own death in the river. We are momentarily going to cut away to a flashback where we see coward Rumple make a deal with a magician to save Baelfire’s life from a snake bite in exchange for his second born child. Milah is furious of course, we see the beginning of her relationship Hook (god dayum, boy) and see Dark One Rumple then come back and kill the magician. Now come back to the present, and Hades has the contract that the magician and Rumple signed (because obvs the magician has unfinished business as is in Underbrooke) and we see that Belle is preggers with Rumple’s child. This just screams LEVERAGE and Hades has Rumple kill Milah, destroy the boat taking them all back to Storeybrooke and effectively work for Hades (Shit. Rumple did not see that coming).

The rest of the team have a quiet episode: Regina talks to Cruella about the graveyard and finds out that Daniel had moved on to somewhere better after Underbrooke. Once both teams get back together, they intend to split Emma’s heart into two (like Snow and Charming) so that Hook can return back with them, but, oh look, another complication. Hades decides that for the three lives they saved, Emma, Snow and Regina are the ones to stay back and take their place, which means that Emma doesn’t actually have a heart to split!! AAAHHHHHH why do you guys make this so god damn complicated?! Sad thing is, I’m too interested in seeing this show through that I can’t even stop at the end of this season! I. Must. Keep. Going. This show hurts my head.coffee morning hangover wake up penelope cruz

Agents of SHIELD E13
Ok, I was totally not expecting so many emotions at the end of this episode! Bobbi and Hunter follow Mallick to Russia where they discover a plot that involves an Inhuman Russian minister overthrowing the current Prime Minister in order to create a “haven” for Inhumans. However, SHIELD have to get involved without being noticed in order not to start an international event, unfortunately, Bobbi and Hunter get caught and Interpol are brought in. The other agents get away and the Prime Minister is safe, but our favourite duo are interrogated and threatened to be put into Russian gulag’s unless they reveal who they are. Now, Coulson steps in and the three of them realise that the only way Bobbi and Hunter can live is if they keep going with there undercover story as holidaying couples, and leave SHIELD with new identities and move to a far away countries, never being able to become agents ever again. The team is outraged, but everyone realises that this is the best, and only option, and the two of them are let free. The last 5 minutes, we see a teary goodbye from everyone and I had dry eyes till Mack said his farewell, and then the tears started flowing (why am I so damn emotional?!) After reading a few sites, I found out that Marvel are hoping to start a show called Marvel’s Most Wanted and that Bobbi and Hunter would be headlining that show, but it’s still in its early stages, and no one really knows how that will go. The episode finally ends with us being introduced to Mallick’s daughter, who knows everything that is happening with Hive and I just can’t help having a feeling that she’s an Inhuman, there’s something funky about her :/

The Flash E16
DC is back this week, and it’s a nice and easy one to get us started. Barry is trying to get as fast as he can to defeat Zoom, and a new speedster called Trajectory makes their appearance in Central City. Turns out she’s a past colleague of Caitlin’s who steals V9 from the labs to get a high and steal from the public. This is when it gets a little awkward – Caitlin and Harry have to tell Barry that there is a drug that can make him faster, but can still have seriously detrimental effects to his health, ie, cell degeneration. He’s of course furious, but doesn’t use the drug, and catches Trajectory eventually. However, she manages to get her hand on a last dose of the drug and as she runs away, her lightening (initially yellow like Barry’s) turns blue before she disintegrates completely and dies. This gets the team thinking about Jay and Zoom and Cisco reveals that he’d been Vibeing – and this is when he tells the team that Zoom is Jay, and Zoom is dying, that’s why he needs Barry’s Speedforce :O Everyone is super pissed off at being betrayed (again), as they should be, but I’m still confused and a bit apprehensive. If Jay is Zoom, then how the hell did JAY get dragged back to Earth 2 BY ZOOM???? Urgh, hurry up and answer my questions guys, I’m DYING!

Arrow E16
This was another returning show and nice easy to start us off. Damian Darhk’s bail hearing is going on and Laurel, with the help of Captain Lance, proves that Darhk, who is claiming not to be Darhk at all, was involved in all the terrible things he’s done, forcing the judge to establish probable cause for the charges, and Darhk is put into custody without bail. The Captain is also put under investgigation for his involvement with Darhk after incriminating himself, and actor of the episode goes to Paul Blackthorne for really giving it his all in this court scene. Meanwhile, Cupid is back (the psycho killer who was obsessed with Arrow) and is killing off celebrity couples, so naturally, Olicity fake a secret wedding and Oliver tries to convince Felicity to get back together but she is just nothaving any of it. They think that they can still work together, but clearly it isn’t working out, so she decides to officially leave Team Arrow in order to save herself from the pain of seeing and being with him every day – fair enough, she needs her space, but don’t give up on her Oli! Keep the ship alive!!!!! Also, the flashbacks are so god damn boring, I give up. I’m not even going to talk about them, its just turning into a thing the writers put in to make the episode last 40 mins, I don’t think half of the viewers even remember what the hell is going on anymore!

The ones I didn’t mention: Scorpion E20NCIS: LA E19 (it’s a really messed up case involving children strapped to suicide vests), Castle E15 (Castle tells Becket about his Loksat discovery in LA), New Girl E12 (We meet Schmidt’s dad for the first time!), NCIS E19, Supernatural E16

meryl streep bye thats all

Daredevil

So this week was the finale of the first season on Here Come the Habib’s (only 6 episodes, sob 😦 ) but the minute the kind lady in the TV box says “Stay tuned on Channel 9 for Here Come the Habib’s when they return for Season 2 next year”, my mum turned to me and when “WHAT?! I’m expected to wait that long for the next episode?” I think she’s finally beginning to understand my pain.smile creepy heart sneaky

Daredevil Season 02
So the highly anticipated of Season 2 of Daredevil was released on Netflix on the 18th, which meant that I spent all of the 20th binge watching it, and man, it was worth it. happy excited applause clapping thrilledI’m not going to give anything away, I promise, because I know that a lot of people still haven’t finished because they have self control and a life, so I’ll keep it to what we already know about the season. Matt, Karen and Foggy are busy with Nelson & Murdock, and Matt is busy being Daredevil at night and Hell’s Kitchen is about as safe as it’s going to get with Wilson Fisk behind bars. Except in comes Frank Castle aka. The Punisher, and tbh, I don’t really know if is a clear cut villain or hero and credit must go to Jon Bernthal for portraying his character amazingly. They have given us a “villain” that still has a moral compass and makes you think about what you’re actions would be if you were in his situation. We also get introduced to Elektra Natchios, an old girlfriend and crazy-psycho-martial arts killer that got trained by Stick for The War. Going into the details of that story line would take too long, but we get a glimpse at what Matt’s past life was like, and his relationship with someone who believes that she has a right to end someone’s life, when he doesn’t.

In comparison to season 1, I think it was pretty much up there. I’ll be honest, the last 4 episodes were very dark and serious, and this season did have a lot more violent fighting sequences involving blood spatter and some truly gruesome torture scenes. But despite my squirminess, I do realise that it is a darker show and they need to show that these things do happen because not every superhero story is about aliens being defeated by Norse Gods and men in metal suits. Wilson Fisk and Claire Temple make a return, as do the Yakuza, and I was very happy to see Karen Page be shown as a passionate, caring, and opinionated young woman rather than just their Legal Advisor and Secretary. In fact, at points of this season, I found myself pleading with Matt to get his shit together and really rooting for Karen and perseverance with all their cases. All in all, 9/10 for me, can’t wait for the next season (though we have no idea when that will be! 😦 )

Quantico E13
Wow, for episode number 13, they really pulled out all the stops. This one was a little easier to explain so let’s start with the flashback 🙂 The NAT’s are all getting along and the task for this week is to sort people out into personality types and then the challenge at the end is to try and get a civilian to become an informant for the FBI without turning the NATs into bargaining chips ie. The NATs have to get the informant to call the FBI to volunteer without saying they’ll help them with their DUIs and immigration papers. While this is going on, Nimah knows Raina is up to something and starts spying on her, Caleb and Shelby are trying to get to the bottom of her kidnapped fake sister (who is fact living it up and conned Shelby again), Alex and Drew (the new kid) are getting close and we learn about his backstory, the nerd dude (Will Olsen) has some weird checklist thing at the bottom of his drawer and he crosses Nimah off this list after chatting to her in the episode :/ Also, Vasquez is getting sued by her ex for the sole custody of their daughter, so Miranda gives her leave to go and be with and fight for her daughter without worrying about her career (how nice!).

Back in the present, Alex goes to work the next day and finds out that Booth’s ex wife is her new boss and she’s been moved to Operations with the lowest clearance level. The terrorist groups make contact with her, saying that if she and Vasquez don’t get a particular file for them, Vasquez will go boom, so they work together to get clearance from the Booth’s and attached a worm to the file when they send it to the terrorist. The email is opened at an abandoned warehouse, so the two of them go to investigate, where the terrorists call Alex to outside the building and then proceed to blow up the laptop – killing Vasquez instantly! upset super bowl richard sherman super bowl 49 heart breakAt this point, the my screen went black and I was forced to look at my shocked face staring back at me, I literally could not believe it! Alex just freaks out at this point and runs to Booths apartment in hysterics, only to receive pictures of her in his arms, which means that they’re constantly watching her as she puts all of her friends in harms way. Holy moly, she is in a bit of a pickle, and going crazy. I’m a little worried, not gonna lie.

Once Upon a Time E13
He was a nothin’, A zero, Now he’s a honcho, He’s a hero – It’s hunky Hercules! Well maybe not hunky per se, but cute Herc, who befriends Baby Snow (that’s my name for young Princess Snow White) and helps her defeat a bandit who’s being controlled by Evil Queen Regina. We learn that Herc has finished 11 of his 12 tasks to become an immortal in Olympus and only has to defeat the Hell Hound, Cerberus, to go up to meet his parents. He helps Snow believe in herself and it’s a cute two-day crush, let’s be honest, I don’t blame Baby Snow – he is Hercules after all. Back in the present, and Hook saves Meg from Cerberus and Hades, and she runs into Emma. We find out that Herc is actually in the Underworld (cue Jealous Charming) so Snow asks for his help in killing Cerberus. She finds out that that not long after they parted ways, Herc dies trying to save Meg and kill Cerberus and is totally not the macho confident boy she remembers. Of course, she gives a lovely, empowering speech to him, and together with Meg, they kill the beast, fulfilling his quest and allowing him and Meg to finally go to Olympus (aw cute!). The group now know that Hades has Hook and have a map to rescue him – go team go! Two interesting points to make: Baby Snow acts incredibly well in terms of the way she talks, matching adult Snow every well and the scene with Snow and Regina is beautiful, all the feels!

How to Get Away with Murder E15 Finale
Wow what a finale to season 2! In the flashbacks, we see Frank’s one night stand offer him a heap of money to go and put a bug in Annalise’s room. Obviously, he accepts, places the bug and the lawyer (or whoever she is) hears about Annalise leaving to go tell the judge about Mahoney raping Rose. She calls Mahoney, he tells her to “take care of it” and Annalise is hurt in the car crash. Frank comes to the hospital and runs into Sam who tells him about the baby and Frank tells him what he did, and basically Sam tells him not to Annalise, and that Frank owes him  – which ends up being Frank killing Layla for Sam. Back in the present, Annalise has run away to her mothers house where we meet her siblings and her father, the man that used to beat her mother and then left the family, but has now returned to be with his wife. Nate comes for a visit to tell her that the DA has issued a warrant for her arrest thanks to Caleb being a bitch and telling the police everything, and Annalise reveals to her mother that she was pregnant but lost the baby years ago.

Now, as usual, the end of the episode is where all the goss happens, so if you don’t want to read it, skip down to the next paragraph, somewhere after a gif of April Ludgate. So when Annalise is attacked by Philip, he reveals that he did nothing and has proof that it was Caleb that killed the Hapstall parents and Philip’s mother, leaving the blame on Catherine so that he could have all the inheritance. Catherine reveals that the she is in love with Caleb, and they had a relationship (not as “passionate” as Cersei and Jaime) but still equally incestuous, and she took the blame for him knowing he did it. Nek minnit, the news breaks and we see a TV blaring in a hotel room – and Caleb Hapstall sitting in a bathtub, wrists slit :/ Meanwhile, Wes travels to New York and confronts Mahoney, only to have him shot in the face, right in front of him!
reaction shocked aubrey plaza april ludgate blank stare
Holy shit what?! Why is it that half the characters killed on the show are in front of Wes, can someone please give him a break???? Anyway, it was a great end to the season and Shonda Rhimes better make sure that next season is filled with the same amazingness that has been occurring for the last two years.

Agents of SHIELD E12
This week was filled with a lot of “Aw he’s a good guy, not wait, backstabbing bad guy, oh wait not he’s not, oh yep yep he is”. Drove me a little crazy, not gonna lie. So there is a conference of sorts occurring between nations to discuss the Inhumans, so on the Presidents behalf, Talbot and Coulson go in, hoping to discover if one of the delegates is an inside man, giving Mallick information on Inhumans. Instead, Talbot backstabs Coulson, revealing him to the delegates, and Mallick walks saying that Coulson is part of Hydra and is out to destroy everyone. At this point, you’re going “Ok, Talbot is a dick” but then Bobbi, Hunter and May find Talbots’ son in one of the ATCU stasis cases and you realise that Talbot is being blackmailed and his son was kidnapped by Mallick. In the end, the team escapes with the son safe and Bobbi and Hunter are in Mallick’s jet flying off to somewhere. Meanwhile, back at the base, Fitz, Simmons and Lincoln discover that Creel (the Inhuman that can change into any material once he touches it) has something in his blood that could cure people before they undergo terragenesis and become Inhumans :/ Now the interesting part is when we get back to Ward/Hive story, it appears that Hive can release this mist thingy that absorbs humans and restores Ward to his former healthy body, maybe it’s their life force? Who knows. It was kind of weird and creepy, but hey, whatever the weird alien thing needs to get better, Mallick and his henchmen will provide.reactions ew disgusted do not want dakota fanning

Those that I didn’t mention: NCIS: LA E18 (Anna and Arkaedy Kolcheck are back and Sam finds out that G likes Anna), Scorpion E19 (Walter saves a little girl), New Girl E11 (Cece moves out of her apartment and Jess has a nasty boss), NCIS E18 (Damn Gibbs feels are back again)

Have a good week lovelies!

The Biggest Plot Twists EVERRRRRR

My friends! Time for your weekly news flash, brought to you by M&M’s and Mi Goreng, the life support of twenty-somethings everywhere. Last week, we saw the return of ABC’s Quantico and Once Upon a Time, as well as plot twists and revelations from shows such as Castle and How to Get Away with Murder. Many shows are still on their short March hiatus however, please look forward to the season return of Marvel’s Daredevil, with all 13 episodes of Season 2 premiering on Netflix on March 18th. Stay tuned for next week’s blog, where I see if I’m still alive after binge watching one of the best shows on television. Now for some friendly weekly updates about our beloved TV shows:

Once Upon a Time E12
Just when you think “maybe they won’t spend half a season in the Underworld, maybe they’ll find Hook in one episode and leave”, the writers decide to mess us up and make sure that we’ll be in the Underworld for as long as humanely possible. We start up with the A team (Snow, Charming, Henry, Emma, Rumple,  Regina and Robin) all heading to the Underworld (a red-tinted, destroyed version of Storeybrooke) in order to get Hook and keep him alive. My first issue – why in Gods green Earth did they take Henry with them? He’s a CHILD, and they’re going to the UNDERWORLD. Worst grandparents and parents award goes to the Charming family, taking their children one step away from HELL.
what idk ron weasley Anyway, the A Team run into all their old enemies – Cora, Cruella, Peter Pan, the evil witch from Hansel and Gretel and James (Charming’s brother) who all have “unfinished business” – and Rumple gets given a potion to use to find Hook, but of course it doesn’t work. However, the main focus of the episode is on Regina and her change from villain to hero. Her father has unfinished business in the Underworld and Cora uses him to force Regina out of the Underworld or she’ll send him to Hell. Regina refuses to leave the Underworld without helping her friends find Hook, and this is when her father sees her being a good hero and his “unfinished business” us fulfilled: he sees his daughter become the good hero that he believed she could be, and he goes up to Heaven. The Regina feels in this episode are strong, and you just can’t help but love the way Lana Parilla portrays the Evil Queens/ Regina the Hero. The flashbacks were kind of boring, so I haven’t mentioned them, but give the episode a go if you want to know all the details! PS. the show has been renewed for Season 6, so the writers better get cracking onto another season, hopefully not as repetitive as the last few!

Quantico E12
I need to remember that this spot is about the show and not about Priyanka Chopra in anyway, so stop me if I start on a rant about how amazing she is, blah blah blah. So back on Quantico, it’s been three months since the second bomb went off at the FBI Command Centre, 32 agents are killed including Clayton Haas, and the team have spent the entire time trying to determine if Elias Harper was working on his own or was just a pawn for a terrorist organisation. The team are going through a hearing where each member of the team is required to give their opinion on what they think, and apart from Alex’s, they all say that they have no evidence to suggest that he wasn’t acting alone. Now what confused me, and maybe it’s just because it was a Monday night and my brain was a little tired from work, was that the entire episode, everyone is telling Alex that she is wrong and Harper was working alone but when she retracts her statement at the end, her entire team is all pissy at her! I totally understood her reaction when she is shocked that everyone is mad at her when she listens to them, she did what they said! I think that even though they couldn’t find evidence for Harpers’ claim, in the inside they all believed her? I don’t know, all I know now is that she’s back to being an agent, everyone still hates her, and oh yea, the terrorist group brings her to a abandoned car park and Vasquez walks in, her chest strapped to a bomb. Yep, that happened.community shocked donald glover puppet jaw dropNot really much in the flashbacks except I guess the budget for the show got a little more room now that they’ve removed Harper and Clayton from the cast, we have three new main NATs. Miranda and Liam make our class of NATs plus the class above compete against each other and we’re introduced to Will Olsen (a rocket scientist), Drew Perales (former NFL player) and Iris Chang (an evil looking lawyer). These three plus the rest of their class join our guys to make huge class with competing egos and all that jazz. Meanwhile, Nimah manages to get through to Charlie and get information about his kidnappers, but keeps it a secret from Raina and Miranda, getting on social media and finding out more about the men … very suspicious indeed.

Castle E14
Oh we’re getting somewhere! Ok so after Castle realises that he visited Korea Town in LA in his missing 3 months, he travels there with Hayley and Alexis but gets caught up in a serial killer case involving the Greatest Detective Society. There’s a little Firefly reunion with Summer Glau guest starring as a fellow PI competing for a spot in the GDS against Castle (if you haven’t seen Firely, do it! It got cancelled after 1 season and a movie, but to this day, has a huge cult following and is one of the most inventive shows there ever was). Anyway, as usual, they solve the case with the help of Espo, Ryan and Laney, and the rest of the episode was left up to Castle’s mystery 3 months.

So the trio go to the restaurant that Castle remembers where they find out that 3 months ago, Castle couldn’t pay for his dinner, so he gave the owner his watch, which present-Castle buys back. Turns out there is a tracker in the watch, and leads back to a marine who lives in LA but is currently away. Then suddenly, Hayley is acting all suspicious and convinces Alexis to let the tracker and the marine go, saying it’s safer for Castle not to know anything. At this point, i’m very concerned – do we know anything about this lady? How has she stayed after all this time and why is she always helping Castle and Alexis? It looks very suspicious! Anyway, Alexis has her father’s curiousity and goes to the marine’s mothers house – and finds a picture of the marine and Hayley together! WTF, jaw dropped. Alexis pretty much bolts from the house into her car, terrified, and sees Hayley sitting in the backseat – aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh! Anyway, Hayley and Alexis get back to the hotel and Hayley explains to Castle that the reason she knows the marine is that his father asked her to keep an eye on him, making her promise never to tell Castle anything. She got the tracker from a friend and was watching Castle until he gave the watch to the restaurant owner and disappeared. Castle, of course, just cannot let a sleeping cat lie (and this case, I don’t think I could either), so Hayley shows him a video he took 18 months ago that reveals that what he found out after working with the CIA has to do with Loksat, and the reason he has his memory erased was to protect Kate from whatever he found out. Holy shitballs! I’m so happy that the writers are getting somewhere with this, didn’t I just say last week, that maybe Castle’s disappearance and Kate’s hunt for Loksat are linked? I’m a genius!

Agents of SHIELD E11
And we’re back! This week, the team is in Bogota where they discover an Inhuman that has some amazing yoyo-movement type abilities and another evil one that has magic eyes that can paralyse a person. Thumbs up to the writers for coming up with some seriously inventive Inhumans, very very cool! Anyway, it was mainly just a filler episode with heaps of tidbits that just show what the characters have been going through in the hiatus: Fitz and Simmons are not so good, but start to patch things up towards the end, Lincoln and Daisy are “Druuuunk in luuuuuuurve”, Fitz makes Coulson a realistic looking hand, and the President decides to chose General Talbot  as the next heard of the ATCU, working under the direct orders of SHIELD, even though SHIELD doesn’t exist. If you don’t remember (because I didnt :/), he’s an Air Force General that Coulson has had interactions with involving the War on Hydra and  determining if the current actions of SHIELD are affect by Hydra as well. This is General Talbot ˅˅˅˅˅˅

Two other big things that happened in the episode are that Coulson decides to use his memory retrieving machine on Werner von Strucker to find out Mallick’s current location. Coulson manages to do so, and has a interesting conversation with Mallick, threatening him for killing Rosalind and forcing him to shut down some of his facilities. Also, we see Agent Ward, though he’s not really Ward anymore, but a corpse being run by that weird Inhuman parasite thingy from that other world. He’s been sitting in one of Mallick’s facilities, watching TV, barely saying anything and eating meat – I’m very interested to see what happens to that thing now, especially since Coulson and the team think that it’s dead in another world and not on Earth :/

How to Get Away with Murder E14
Ok, I’m going to get it out there now, I cried way too much in this episode because we were shown the entire backstory of Annalise and her lost baby. Basically, before Wallace Mahoney leaves her apartment after threatening to fire her because of Rose’s death, Annalise confronts him about taking advantage of Rose for years, and the reason she fears for her life and Christophe’s is because Wallace Mahoney is Christophe’s father – HOLY SHIT WHAT?!
That was the most unexpected twist in the history of twists that I have seen, I was losing my mind! Anyway, after this, Annalise decides to go tell the prosecutor what has happened and face getting disbarred but is met with a car crash on the way there, losing her little baby boy in the process. After seeing Sam get there, and Annalise holding her dead baby, you just can’t deal. Viola Davis gets a special mention again for making a characters pain so real, I can’t even imagine what women go through when they lose a baby, especially when they are so close to having that baby safe and alive in their arms. Anyway, back in the present time, Annalise manages to escape Philips assault, Caleb has gone missing and everyone is freaking out when the ADA wants to questions all of them. Annalise finally has enough and kicks everyone out of her house, they all go put partying (Asher and Michaela do the nasty in the bathroom) and she decides to tell Wes everything about his mother and how she feels responsible for him and her death. He, of course, doesn’t believe her, but of course he is curious and starts researching his biological father. Meanwhile, Laurel comes home and drunkenly tells Annalise that she knows Frank killed Layla on Annalise’s order – which of course isn’t true, because it was Sam. Anyway, questions are getting answered and things are coming to a close but I reckon that Shonda Rhimes is going to throw is one more curve ball before the season ends next week!

Legends of Tomorrow E08
The team is transported to a racist, small town in 1958 and find Savage acting as a psychiatrist in a hospital, administering meteorite juices to teenagers to create a hawk-like army. Ray and Kendra disguise themselves as a interracial married couple who live across the road from Dr. and Mrs. Savage, Jacks tries to get information from a girl who’s boyfriend has gone missing, Rip and Snart are FBI agents investigating mysterious killings and Stein and Sara moonlight as a doctor and his nurse. As Dad and I are watching the episode, a nurse in the hospital looks at Sara with a knowing look and I just blurt out “Lesbian.”. Dad has a good chuckle and doesn’t believe me till about 10 minutes later when i was totally right! I thought the episode was a good one, and transports the characters and the audience to a time in the world where being black, female or gay was openly mocked or threatened upon. A bit of harsh reality but also a nice way to show everyone how far we’ve come since 1958. Of course, the team are unable to kill Savage (we wouldn’t really have a show without Savage, would we?) and whilst leaving, bloody Kronos, who refuses to just die, comes back, attacking the Waverider, forcing Rip to leave, leaving Ray, Kendra and Sara behind – Oh wow, this is going to be fun. A white male, coloured female and a white lesbian are left in 1958 to fend for themselves, this is going to be interesting!

New Girl E10 (Jess is back and Reagan leaves), The Big Bang Theory E18 (Sheldon has a lovely streak of kindness), The 100 (Pike sentences Kane for trying to kidnap him to give to the Grounders, Raven realises that whatever crystal she had taken has erased all her memories of her dead boyfriend, Finn, and Bellamy may have come around to his senses).

Holy moly, guacamole!

I’m kinda liking this whole “let’s not have all the shows on at once thing” because my life is so much easier – but now I have no legitimate reason for not socialising, though needing to go home and watch TV wasn’t a legitimate reason in the first place either ha 😉 Just giving an update, Quantico and Once Upon a Time are back next week, Suits and Agent Carter have finished their seasons and our DC favourite’s are still on a hiatus so things are calm and manageable. Let’s do this!

Agent Carter E10 – Season Finale
THEY DID THE KISSY KISSY!
giphy (1)   giphyHahaha sorry I just got very excited at the end of the episode because Sousa and Peggy finally do the nasty (well I assume they did the do) – But we’ll get to that later. The episode starts with the the team investigating the explosion to find Masters gone, Wilkes weak, alive and without Zero Matter, and Whitney, alive and soaking up all the Zero Matter she can get her hands on. Whitney then goes insane in her house, muttering to herself and writing formulas, and generally acting like a psycho scientist – which makes her mafia boyfriend come to Stark and the team and ask for their help in removing the Zero Matter from Whitney. Peggy and Sousa manage to get into her evil lair with his help and discover that she is trying to create a device that will open the rift and take her into it – so the team design the device in order to lure Whitney to it and use the gamma/xray cannon to expel the Zero Matter from her and back into the rift. This all goes to plan, until the rift can’t be closed and is unstable, leaving Sousa to risk his life to close it, with the help of his trusty team. In the end, they manage to close the rift using Stark’s hovercar (God damn, it’s a cool car!) and leaving Whitney in a mental hospital, muttering to herself  and generally being a crazy person.

Meanwhile, Jack discovers that the Council pin that Masters has is actually a key for something, gives it to Peggy and proceeds to get ready to leave LA. Meanwhile, Peggy is kissing Sousa and takes more leave to be with him longer (oh yeaaaaaaa 😉 ) and the episode ends with Jack Thompson being shot in the chest by a mystery person, who comes into his hotel room and steals Peggy’s file.giphy (2)OMG WHAAAT?! They can’t do this to us at the end of the season! Those bastards. Anyway, this was a fantastic season for the Marvel TV show, and I can’t wait to see it return in January 2017!

Suits E16 – Season Finale
Well, that was an interesting turn of events. Mike decides he doesn’t believe in himself and breaks his promise to Rachel and takes a deal for 2 years of imprisonment rather than wait for the juries verdict. Harvey finds out that they jury was actually going to find him not guilty, meaning that Mike majorly screwed up! Basically, in the three days before he has to leave for prison, him and Rachel are in a bouncy castle of emotions, finally deciding to get married before he’s locked away, possibly jeopardizing her career as a lawyer and ruining his relationship with his future in-laws. In the end, Mike comes to Rachel in the church before getting married and says that he can’t go through with it, and they should wait till they get out (possibly the first smart decision Mike has made in a looong time). Also, thanks to Louis effing up (again), Donna, Jessica and Louis return to the office after the cancelled wedding to find that all the employees have left for other firms and taken their clients with them, thanks to a nullified Non-Compete. The two things I thought were interesting to note were:
1. There was a scene between Mike and Harvey towards the end of the episode which was absolutely spectacular! Both actors gave their characters such depth of emotion and the chemistry between them was fantastic – one of those scenes that really sticks with you for a while.
2. how are they going to continue with the story next season? Will they pick up during the two year prison sentence and focus on the firm or will they start up after two years when Mike is out?

Castle E13
This was a pretty normal week and there isn’t really much to say about the case, but the reason I haven’t put this at the bottom as just a mention, is that Castle has a flashback/ memory recovery thing where he remembers part of the time when he disappeared. If you don’t remember, at the end of Season 6, Castle is abducted while on his way to his wedding, only to appear 3 months later (beginning of Season 7) with no memory of time away. Come back to the present time and Castle has a taste of a traditional Korean dish and the taste reawakens a memory of him walking down the streets of a town, clearly in Korea. But in a scene not long after, he wakes up in his sleep, realising that he wasn’t in Korea, but in Little Korea in LA! Ahhhhhhh what is happening?! It’s very rare for writers to keep something like this going for more than a season, so I can only assume it has something to do with Loksat and figuring out both cases will solve both of their problems. Maybe that’s when the show will end???? Who knows!giphy (2)

The 100 E07
Whey hey heyyyyy, just when I thought the episodes were getting boring, they drop this one on me. This one focuses entirely on Clarke, Lexa, Titus and John but we also get some backstory into Beca and ALIE. First let’s get to the backstory – Beca (the same actor plays both ALIE and Beca) is the owner of the 13th station that is supposed to join the Ark 97 years ago. However, she’s working on AI technology meant to assist the humans in surviving in outer space for the next 200 years. Unfortunately, her AI, ALIE, enters the grid and is the one that causes nuclear missiles from China to attack USA, thus causing the destruction of the world. The rest of the stations refuse to dock with Polaris and threaten to blow it up if she doesn’t stop working on her project, but Beca continues, creating ALIE-2,  an AI that is to coexist with humans, with her code in a crystal matrix (it looks like the pill that Jaha has been giving people). Anyway, Beca manages to escape and return to Earth using an escape pod and saving ALIE-2, whilst wearing a jumpsuit with “Commander” written on it, while the 13th section of the ark is blown up above her.
giphy (2)Fast forward 97 years, and Lexa decrees that a blockade be formed around Arkadia and a kill order is sent out to anyone from Arkadia that crosses the blockade. Clarke decides to leave with Octavia and Indra in order to warn Pike and Kane about the kill order but not before she does the do with Lexa. At this point, I’m so sick of both of them dancing around each other, I’m happy they finally have sex and Clarke is leaving and they can just not be around each other. BUUUUUUT enter Titus, who’s decided he can’t take Clarke anymore and is going to shoot her, using a gun but leaving John there so that it looks like he did it. BUUUUUUUUT – he accidentally shoots Lexa instead – HOLY SHITBALLS WHAT?!giphy (2) The next 10 minutes are Clarke sobbing and trying to stop her bleeding, but Titus accepting that she is dying and getting ready to pass on the role of Commander to the next lucky person. Once Lexa is dead, he turns her over and at the nape of her neck is a scar and the infinity sign (the one on the pills) is tattooed on her. He opens up the scar and removes the crystal matrix which has ALIE-2 and places it in a box! The only thing I can gather from this is that Beca is called the Commander and had ALIE-2 placed inside her, and every time a Commander is killed, their “spirit” aka, ALIE-2, is transferred to the next. Also, is this the upgrade that Jaha’s ALIE needs?! Ah too many questions and not enough answers!

How to Get Away with Murder E13
Finally some answers! Looking at the flashbacks, we see that Rose gets arrested regarding her immigration status and Eve (Annalise’s old girlfriend) is her lawyer. She convinces Rose that she and Christophe will be safe if Rose still testifies. Anyway, as any normal person would do, Rose rushes home, puts Christophe and all her belongings in her car and runs away to start life anew. Christophe has a hissyfit and jumps out of the car and runs home to find his mother with a knife in her neck, gurgling and dying at his feet. You’re thinking “Yes, Wes didn’t kill his mum!”. Couple of scenes later we see Annalise running away from the apartment with a dying Rose on the floor with a knife in her neck. Now you’re thinking, SHIT ANNALISE KILLED ROSE! Couple of scenes later, you see Annalise coming to the apartment to find a hysterical Rose who’s looking for her son and realises that she has no way out of this case and can’t get away from the family. In a burst of emotion, she grabs a kitchen knife, tells Annalise to look after her son, and stabs herself in the neck!giphy (2)Annalise is shocked (as you would be), but doesn’t call 911. She hides away when she sees Christophe and then runs away from the scene now knowing what to do. And for a moment, you think, Yes Annalise is SAFE! But then you realise that it’s only her word keeping her innocent, and that may not be enough.

Come back to the present, and Annalise takes the laptop and the videos to Emily Sinclair’s boss, saying that she has evidence that Philip is back in town and the ADA can get him for her murder, provided that her and her associates have immunity for anything that is seen in the videos. The ADA is sneaky, and tries to pull some backhanded shit on Annalise, but she’s too good for them. Meanwhile, Wes is talking to his psychiatrist about his mothers death, and finds the file saying he is the primary suspect, making him question everything he remembers from that night. Laurel tries to convince Annalise to talk to Wes, and also breaks up with Frank with Bonnie eavesdropping on them (Why??). Connor, Olli, Laurel and Michaela sleep at Asher’s house because they know he’s stalking them, and Annalise is with Nate. The episode ends with Annalise coming to Wes’ apartment to talk to him, and knows someone is in the room – but she’s gets a phone call from Eve saying that Wes is with her, and at that moment, Philip Jesup appears and attacks Annalise. SHIT now I have to wait an entire week to find out what the hell is going on! Of course Annalise will survive, but who knows what Philip will do!

Legends of Tomorrow E07
We finally found out more about Rip’s family! Turns out both he and his wife were in the Time Master academy (if that’s what you call it?) but because affairs of love are forbidden, Rip’s wife pulls out from the academy so he can continue and they can continue being together – aw cuuuuute! Back in the present and Gideon needs to be upgraded so that they can continue to track Savage, so Rip, Rory, Jacks and Stein go aboard Akeron, another ship, to get the upgrades, only to discover it’s been hijacked by time pirates. The pirates attack Waverider, and while damaging the hull, Sara and Snart get locked in a freezing hull (am I the only one that wants them to get together?), leaving Kendra and Palmer to brace Deeps Space and fix the breach. Of course everyone is fine at the end, Kendra and Palmer kiss, but Rory’s evil actions over the last few situations leads the team to contemplate his part in the Good Guys team – which leaves Snart in the position to “deal with him”. Which means “I’m gonna take him into a random field in a random time and use my freeze gun to freeze him” – SHIIIIET!giphy (2)Now, whether he’s dead or not, we don’t know, but based on what we learn about his relationship with Snart, this was not an easy decision and is going to haunt him for a long time after 😦

Ones that weren’t mentioned because they were meh: New Girl E09 (Nick and Reagan kiss!), NCIS E17, Scorpion E18, NCIS: LA E17 (seemed like a disjointed episode from the season involving Sam’s ex-lover, Jada and the discovery of another mole in NCIS).
